Time for a long overdue Hugo update.....

In February we went for some wonderful training up in Yorkshire where Hugo was very trainable! Not just towing me around the arena which was a pleasant surprise.

Then things started to go a little downhill again......

March - we remedicated the bone spurs on his TMJ.

April - despite being on a hacking ban due to getting 2 identical splints, he then got hit with the hard ground pandemic thats in the UK atm, and needed his coffin joints medicating as well as super fancy endurance pads in and no hacking.

Still not 100%.......

May - Hugo was jarring on the right rein and was becoming very strong again. We had a feeling it was his neck again but was presenting entirely different. It WAS in fact his neck again but not the same issue as before. In true Hugo style who had a beautiful image of his C4 joint in 2025 had an absolutely horrific image of the C4 but only on the right in 2026?

So we medicated.

Hugo felt great for 5 days. Then started showing signs of lameness but this time on the soft.

So our super vet came out to see him today. I was fully expecting it to be his C6/7 joint from 2025 needing more attention but no......

DDFT?!?!?!

We are hoping its just a strain which can be helped with even more special shoes and you guessed is.......hacking, his favourite 😍

Can someone please tell my horse thay the science of the TheraPlate has now been proven and he doesn't need to keep finding new protocols to use!
