Lancaster City Juniors U13 Girls

We made it to the top! Yesterday some of our parents and players took on Helvellyn in a huge effort to raise money for our upcoming season. Safe to say that Isla and Anna absolutely smashed it, practically running up the mountain and skipping back down it!💪

A hot day made their task even more difficult. A great achievement by both players and parents, we've raised vital funds for our team that will help us massively in the coming weeks and months. 🥾⛰️

A thoroughly enjoyable friendly against Walton le Dale yesterday played at St Mary's and St Benedict's RC Primary School in Bamber Bridge. A close encounter between 2 teams who've never met before ultimately ended in a draw, a result neither team could have complained about.👍

Both sides enjoyed spells of pressure throughout with our goals coming from Ivy, including a pinpoint effort into the far corner of the net to draw us level with around 15 minutes left.🎯 We were also happy to see both Lola and Connie play their first matches for us, with Connie providing an assist during the first half.

Most of all the game was played in top spirits and it was a pleasure to visit Walton le Dale. Thanks for hosting and best of luck with the upcoming season!💙

Also well done to Isla who was our next player 'in the spotlight'. We've been waiting a few weeks to mention this, a fantastic person to have in our squad who puts a lot of thought into everything she does on the pitch. Having scored what proved to be some absolutely vital goals for us last season there's no reason why Isla can't enter the upcoming season full of confidence.🎯

A matter of days until our pre-season begins. It's going to be a warm 1 but we're looking forward to getting our group back together again after our break.🌞

We've got some interesting friendlies booked in against both our own age group and the group above, with another just being confirmed. We're also due to play against Lancaster Juniors U15 Girls again in August.

And so the curtain is finally drawn on our 2025/2026 season. A thoroughly enjoyable day yesterday celebrating all of the teams at Lancaster City Juniors.👏

Well done to all of our individual winners on the day, and we've included our previous 'Player of the Month' winners too. In truth some of the most difficult decisions of the season came in choosing yesterday's individual trophy winners.💙

We were also pleased to be able to award our 2nd place trophies given to us by our league, further rewarding our girls' efforts. In such a tight finish we again reiterated how every action on the field matters, whether a goal in a defeat or strong tackle in defence. You've all made a difference, to every last goal scorer and every goal line clearance.⭐️

We were due to finish last week but as we had a friendly we carried on into half term to welcome down Kayleigh to run with us as part of her fundraising for defibrillators for Has2behappy.💙

We are in the hills again this summer raising money for our wonderful team!💙

A fun evening yesterday in a friendly match involving girls from across all 3 juniors teams.💙

Played in great spirit, it was good to see players from different teams playing together, with different formations and ways of playing tried throughout. There was still a competitive edge, great effort shown by all.👍

We have also had our 2nd place confirmed in an U14s league this week. Since this team's formation the girls have had to overcome adversity on numerous occasions and have done so smiling and with determination, never complaining and improving season on season. They should be so proud of themselves.💙

A brilliant day had by all at the weekend as we joined our other girls teams at the Lancaster Juniors sponsored walk and fun day.💙
