⏳ Where does the time go?
⏳ Where does the time go?
Our latest blog post looks at the slow, ongoing work of finding real work-life balance, and why "I'll slow down later" so often turns into 30 years.
Inside, you'll find simple, low-cost ways to:
🧠 Reduce overload
🛡️ Protect your energy
😴 Build proper recovery time
🤝 Maintain the relationships that matter
None of it requires a big life overhaul — just small, consistent changes.

🧠 Could a simple amino acid help protect your brain as you age?
New research published in the peer-reviewed journal PLOS Biology has identified a fascinating link between a brain protein called Menin and the ageing process. Scientists found that as Menin levels decline in the hypothalamus (the brain's master control centre), it triggers inflammation, memory problems, and other age-related changes throughout the body.
Here's where it gets interesting for those of us in the world of nutrition and kinesiology...
When Menin drops, so do levels of an amino acid called D-serine — a natural neurotransmitter your brain needs for learning and memory. In the study, supplementing with D-serine reversed cognitive decline in elderly mice within just three weeks.
And D-serine isn't exotic — it's found naturally in:
🥚 Eggs
🐟 Fish
🫘 Soybeans
🥜 Nuts
This is exactly why we talk about the power of whole-food nutrition. The building blocks your brain needs are often right there on your plate.
Important note: this is currently animal research, and human studies are still needed — so it's not a reason to rush out and buy supplements. But it IS exciting science that points to something Systematic Kinesiology practitioners have long understood: the body has remarkable capacity to regulate and restore itself when given the right support.

Your body is smarter than you think. 🧠
When you're stressed and you automatically put your hand on your forehead — that's not just a habit. It's your body's natural reflex to support blood flow to the front of the brain.
We do it without thinking. Because somewhere, deep down, we already know. 🌿

Did you know your lymphatic system has no pump? 🫧
Your heart moves blood. But lymph — the fluid responsible for clearing waste, toxins, and keeping your immune system working — only moves when you do.
Sluggish lymph can show up as:
👉 Persistent puffiness or swelling
👉 Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
👉 Recurring colds and infections
👉 Brain fog, headaches, heavy legs
👉 Skin problems or digestive issues
There's a surprisingly simple (and fun) way to get it moving again. And you can do it in your living room in your pyjamas. 🛋️
We've written a new blog all about why bouncing on a mini trampoline (rebounder) is one of the most effective things you can do for your lymphatic system — including the NASA study that found it 68% more effective than jogging, and how just 5–10 minutes a day can make a real difference.

"Most of us grew up learning about the heart pumping blood around the body. We understood that — it made sense. But very few of us were ever taught about the lymphatic system, even though it runs alongside our circulatory system and is absolutely essential to how we feel day to day.
The lymphatic system is a vast network of vessels, nodes, and organs that acts as the body’s primary waste management and immune defence system. It collects excess fluid, waste products, toxins, bacteria, and dead cells from the tissues and transports them to be filtered and removed from the body.
Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system has no pump. The heart moves blood. Nothing moves lymph — except you.
Lymph fluid relies entirely on movement, breathing, and muscle contractions to circulate. When we are sedentary, it stagnates. And stagnant lymph can show up in ways that might surprise you." The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology
