10 for 10 Trek: Greg Lambert supporting Coastal Amateur Boxing Club 05/05/2026

Beyond Radio and Greg Lambert have been incredibly generous in thinking about Coastal ABC, when looking to raise funds for local good causes. They are doing a charity walk this weekend, doing 10 miles for 10 community groups.

Greg has been a friend of the club for many years and has always helped, promote and supported us. Lots of people will be familiar with his involvement in local sport, including Morecambe FC, wrestling events and boxing shows.

We are a not for profit community sports club and all our coaches run the club as volunteers, so donations like this help in a massive way, this will directly impact on the young people we coach. We are a boxing club, but the impact on these young kids is much more than learning how to box.

Please, if you are able, use the link here to donate, there are 9 other great causes that will receive a donation too, so any contribution will have a wider benefit in the local community.

Fantastic to see local people continuing to put themselves out to help promote local causes in our community, thank you Beyond Radio.

12 months today since we got this awful news. Leo's family have done incredible amounts in memory of Leo in the last year through Leo's Gym. All the clubs thoughts are with Leo's family today.

This is so difficult to write. This morning we woke up to the unbelievably heartbreaking news that Leo had been involved in a terrible accident and sadly passed away.

Leo was a fantastic young man, an absolute credit to himself and his family. Every boxer, coach and supporter had nothing but love for Leo, he was one of those people you couldn't help but love. He had an infectious personality, brought laughter and light to every room.

In boxing terms, Leo most recently became a North West Region champion, which we know he, his family and the club took great pride in. He was a very talented boxer, had a great attitude and loved to box.

Leo had a champions heart in and out the ring.

To think his cheeky smile, his jokes and his presence won't be seen any longer is just unthinkable, he had so much to offer this world, his journey had only just started.

Leo, you are a son, grandson, brother, friend, gentleman, fighter and a boxer. You're respected by many, loved by many and....a CHAMPION. Forever in our hearts and minds, you'll always be missed.

All the clubs thoughts are with Leo's family, we can't imagine what they're going through.

What a fantastic night we had Wednesday on our Skills show. 12 boxers out with 4 of them being debuts.

CJ and Keyaan were up first in an exhibition, both taking their first steps into the ring in front of a crowd and they boxed perfectly to instructions. The story behind this bout is inspirational and was a pleasure to watch both boys do their thing.

William Woodhouse also making his debut, boxed beautifully from his southpaw stance, his backhand was on point, terrific performance for a debut at such a young age.

James Gunningham, now has good experience in skills bouts, he boxed and moved well, had a good tight defence too.

Jude put on a display that put him in contention for fighter of the night, in only his 2nd skills he picked shots to head and body brilliantly, with high volume backing his opponent up, massive improvement since his first skills where he did well too.

Tee, had a rematched skills and for the first time was an open skills. This boy is strong and in spells showed that strength whilst also improving his footwork.

Kai in his 2nd skills showed boxing ability beyond his experience in a well fought contest, this kid shows no nerves and fights like it.

McKenzy stole the show, his opponent was a strong kid, kept coming and Kenz picked his shots perfectly, this was a fantastic skills bout put on by both boys, that really should have been a scored bout such was the standard. This performance earned Mckenzy the well earned fighter of the night belt.

Ryan another one of our boxers who made his debut on our last show and this was his 2nd outing, boxing a strong kid. Ryan's style makes him hard to read and when Ryan let his hands go in bunches, he had good success.

Edward was our 2nd debutant of the night, another boy who put himself in contention for fighter of the night. Edward boxed a much more experienced boy and managed to back his opponent up with regularity, in an all action bout.

Teddie Tyson, last shows fighter of the night boxed a good kid from Fleetwood and showed his strength in parts, watch out, more to come from Teddie.

Issac closed the show in his final skills in his rangy style, onto scored contests for Issac now.
