Back to back wins to start the season for Milan 🫡🔥

Amble AFC Milan U9s vs Heaton Stannington Blacks U10’s

Another fantastic performance from Milan this morning, with the boys producing a display of slick football from start to finish.

The passing was outstanding throughout, with the team showcasing some phenomenal passing patterns, movement and combinations. The boys looked cool and calm in possession, moving the ball with a confidence and maturity that at times made it hard to believe they’re only 8 years old!

Defensively, the team were equally impressive, limiting our opponents to very few chances and showing great organisation and composure whenever they were called upon.

At the other end of the pitch, the boys were clinical. The excellent passing patterns consistently created opportunities, and when those chances came, the finishing was superb.

There was also plenty of individual brilliance on show, with some fantastic moments of skill and creativity from the boys.

Another comfortable win, but more importantly, another performance full of teamwork and some brilliant football.

Absolute superstars, boys! Well done! 👏⚽️

Classy Milan start the season with top tier performance 👌🏻⚽️

Amble AFC Milan U9s vs Cramlington Juniors Reds U10’s

A really positive performance from our Milan boys as they stepped up to U10 level for their first test against Crammy Juniors U10 Reds.

We started the game a little tentatively, with Cramlington looking the brighter side during the opening five minutes. However, the early nerves soon disappeared and the boys began to find their stride, moving the ball well and starting to play their patterns of football.

After a good spell of pressure and some excellent team play, our captain was on hand to tap home from close range and give us the lead.

From that point on, the boys really took control of the game. The boys grew in confidence and continued to play some classy football, limiting Cramlington to very few clear chances.

Into the second half, Milan continued to dominate. Our flying winger was brought down inside the box, giving us the opportunity to double our advantage from the pen spot. Our centre back stepped up calmly and confidently, slotting the penalty home.

The boys saw the game out brilliantly, showing confidence and a real desire to play football the right way.

A fantastic first test at U10 level for our boys. There were plenty of positives to take from the performance, particularly the way they settled into the game, stuck to their patterns and grew in confidence as the match went on.

A classy performance from the boys! Well done! 👏⚽️

⚽️ Milan visit the academy of Light! 🔴⚪️

A fantastic experience for the lads as they were invited into the Sunderland AFC Academy of Light to play a series of friendlies against Sunderland.

The boys were phenomenal all night long, showing great intensity and continuing to play our brand of football against some top class opposition.

Across the four games, the lads came away with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses. A brilliant set of results and, more importantly, an incredible learning experience for every player.

A huge amount of credit to the boys for the way they conducted themselves and represented the club. 👏👏

A fantastic night and memories the lads will remember for a long time!

A massive thank you to Sunderland AFC for the invitation and for giving our boys the opportunity to experience the Academy of Light. 🔴⚪️

Same old heartbreak for Milan… 😢🏆

Another tournament day, another superb effort. Today we travelled to the Newcastle City Juniors High Level Cup, and the boys did themselves proud.

We came through a tough group stage with some outstanding performances against strong opposition before battling our way to yet another final. Unfortunately, we came up against the better side on the day. The lads had given absolutely everything to get there and just didn’t have enough left when it mattered most.

We’ve had plenty of finals where we’ve felt we deserved more. Today wasn’t one of those, but reaching the final of a high level tournament is still a fantastic achievement and something the boys should be incredibly proud of.

🏆 Player of the Day goes to our stopper, who made some outstanding saves at crucial moments and showed real improvement with his positioning and distribution. Brilliant performance, mate! 👏🏻

Heads up boy! Keep working hard, and we’ll be back.
