Congratulations to Under 18 athlete Caitlin who won an excellent bronze at the Scottish Athletics U18 National Championships in Aberdeen. Finishing behind two Irish athletes, Caitlin was the first Scot over the line in the girls’ 800m.

Joining Caitlin in Aberdeen was last week’s NL 5k victor, Luke, who completed a very busy week of racing, in the 1500m.

Next up, it’s the final Shettleston Open Graded on Tuesday before the Lanarkshire Championships on Saturday 12 September.

A busy season is approaching the final stages as MAC goes through lots of positive changes both on and off the track. More exciting news to follow soon…….

Masters success for Sprints Trio!

Congratulations to senior sprinters Alan Robertson, Jim Smith and Kirsty Oliver who took 4 medals at today’s Scottish Athletics National Masters Championships at Grangemouth.

Alan took gold in both the 100m and 200m, a sensational sprint double.

Jim won the 100m title whilst Kirsty took bronze, also in the 100m. She then showed her fast feet by escaping the venue before our photographer could catch her on the podium!

Wishing our sprints and jumps star Ella all the very best as she leaves Motherwell for Missouri for her University adventures. Off to study Architecture and join the sprints and jumps programme stateside, Ella has been with us since her early Run Jump Throw days and leaves a few weeks after earning her first full Scotland vest.

On behalf of all the club coaches, athletes and MAC Family, good luck Ella, have the best time in your new life, and remember there’s always a place for you when you return back home.
