Match Day 2 ended in victory for Rhino’s Rovers. A shaky start to the game so us go a couple down. P2P came out the traps flying & tbh- a lesser team would’ve struggled to keep with the pace & keep their head & composure.
I keep telling people to understand that there’s no subs in this game- I need all to be ready & on it.
A few changes & soon we were starting to take a grip of the game. Going in 5-4 at halftime with P2P missing a penalty.
2nd half saw more changes. P2P had no subs & it soon showed- especially with the pace they started & sun now beating down.
It was goals galore as Robbie was masterful in attack. Nick & Hunts kept the door shut at the other end.
Plenty of minutes for everyone- no drama- 3 points & up the road.
A great day for the Rovers 🙌🏽

Match day 2 in the Lanarkshire Mental Health 8's League tomorrow.

We face P2P-Hamilton who who be feeling confident after nearly making a miracle recovery in their 1st game.

Confident ourselves after a narrow victory over PZKS we go into tomorrow game with a decent squad. A wee bit of squad rotation see’s Danny & Davy M make their debuts for the season.
Injury list still long with Chris B, Chris K & Stu S taking this one out to recover.

Hopefully 3 great games on show.

The Rovers faced in the opening match of the Lanarkshire Mental Health 8's League

Great game played in great spirit

2 good teams playing 2 totally different styles.
Rovers continued with their high press & possession based football.
PZKS went more compact make it hard to get in behind & hit us on the counter.

Some amazing football at times by the Rovers with little give & go’s in the final 3rd.
Weddy was on fire & constantly causing havoc.
A wee Hat trick for Weddy & with that picks up managers player of the match. ⚽️
Chris O even found himself in space in the box as he calmly megged the goalkeeper. Chris had to go off just after this for a nose bleed 👀
Robbie started on the bench & played like a man that had something to prove…. And he did- banging in a couple 🙌🏽

To a man - everyone was excellent.

Callum & Ryan shared their position brilliantly.

Nick, Hunts & Stu - the brick walls I predicted.
