TOP PERFORMANCES | WOMEN'S TEAMS, PART TWO

Back in July we summarised the top performances from the 1st half of the season. This time we are focussing on the best performances from the 2nd half.

We've highlighted the top 3 batting and bowling performances from across both women's teams at the business end of the season.

Part 2 of the Saturday and Sunday cricket edition will be out next week after the final 3rd XI game.

Join us on Friday 9th October at Dukinfield Golf Club for some 4 Man AMAM format fun.

There will be team prizes presented plus awards for longest drive and closest to the pin.

Tee times are from noon and entry is £30.

Sunday Summary | Bonus Point Win + 2 successful debuts

The 3s bagged an important win away at Royton to move into 2nd with one game to play. Jimmy was ferocious early on for his rapid 33 before Hasan's well paced 74 and CGB's late whacking took us to 194.

Tom N and Lucas were tidy opening up and Nozza removed the opener with a jaffa.

From there, Dan M, CGB and Mitchell bowled with discipline and patience to take 2fer each and bag 6 points.

The 4s lost a thriller in the last over v Macclesfield. Rob Webb was imperious on debut for 52* as we set 152.

Skipper Scott took 2fer but couldn't quite prevent Macc taking the win at the death. Oliver C bowled nicely early on and well done to Haris for a wicket on debut.

The 3s head to Royton for an important promotion battle in the penultimate game od their season. Our hosts sit 3rd and MCC 4th with both teams vying for the final promotion slot.

The 4s finish off their fine season with a home friendly against Macclesfield.

Both games underway from 13.00. Get yourself down and enjoy some cricket...it's a long winter!

A Bailey 4fer and Patrick 2fer restricted the hosts to 133.

0/2 chasing had nerves jangling early doors but a calm and composed 100 partnership from Dan Crudden (65) and Patrick (35) saw us close to the finishing line. Faz and Hasan finishing things off.
