A reminder that Wenlock Olympian Society and Wenlock Olympians AC's annual mile takes place on the Gaskell Field on Saturday 26th September from 11am. If you regularly run around the Gaskell field, or are simply curious about how quickly you could run a mile, do sign up to join us! This is a community and a club event and we'd love to love to see more Wenlock runners signing up. Entry is £4 for club affiliated runners and £6 for non-affiliated runners. Details in the flyer.

This was presented by Jimmy's wife to Sally Wildig - the first female runner from Much Wenlock. Sally is seen here also wearing the medals she won in two of the race categories.

Athletics Returns to the Wenlock Olympian Games. The new (blue) track was welcomed by athletes and spectators and attracted participants from far and wide.
* The International School of Dubai
* Lee Stevens form Cyprus
* Tiffany Cox from Abingdon
* Lee Firmstone carrying a bale of hay fundraising for Shropshire Rural Support
as well as many others from, for instance, Cardiff, Swansea, Wigan and Warrington

Wenlock Games 10k Road Race will take place between 11am and 1pm on Sunday, July 12th. The route from Much Wenlock includes the Farley Road and Wyke Road and also on the B4375 between the Wyke junction and into Much Wenlock.
Please follow the marshals instructions and take care when passing runners. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Additional local awards for first male and female competitor from the local area of Broseley, Much Wenlock and surrounding villages.
