Met this at the petrol station, asked him for a straight swap but unfortunately he declined as he says "the mazda would be too fast" 😂

Boyndie last weekend the 2nd last sprint of the year run by SSHC - Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb Championship

What a day Saturday which turned out to be the best day of the 2 weather wise anyway .

After a delayed start due to interference with timing , which everyone involved managed a work around which couldn't of been easy deserves a 👏

Once going tho with the smaller of the entries we've had this year we were flying through the runs . (So much so that Anne was waiting afew times for me , sorry too busy watching )

With the timed runs flowing the times were dropping as the heat got into the tar.

Resulting in another King 1-2 with Jim consistently banging in 71's !!

Mike eventually bagging that 69'second run which has evaded him for a number of years

The usual mazda crowd consistently building on there times resulting in afew pb's

Resulting in

Mike 69.72
Jim 71.23
James 72.31
Bob 72.36

Sunday was a whole lot colder and rain 🌧 was imminent so the decision was made to get as much timed runs in along with a later lunch .

Which worked out perfect as Boyndie in the wet is what I can only describe as like driving on ice 🧊

With all the practice from the day before everyone pretty much carried on from there times ⏲️

Just with the colder air no pb's were on the cards an early finish with the rain closing in first run after lunch was to be our last.

Resulting in another King 1-2

Mike 70.56
Jim 71.46
James 72.53
Rob 73.26 (Bob just 1 hundredths behind)

Great weekend
Thanks to everyone that made it happen!!

See you for the last race of the year Kames mororsport complex

(Ps need to actual take more pics 📸 instead of watching the single seaters)

Great weekend at Doune Hillclimb - Lcc

The biggest turn out of mazdas for a while at doune for Eunos Ecosse with 8 drivers and 7 mazdas unfortunately, down 1 with jakub having an incident on the way to the event😪

Saturday

We'll let's just say conditions were interesting first few runs . Far from perfect especially for Andrew first ever visit. Everyone almost behaved just other Andrew deciding jock had missed a bit of grass on the inside of junction that needed cut ✂️ 😄

Day finished with a well deserved win 🏆 for James Coltart 👏 consistently building on his time much to Donald's despare 😆
I'm sure Donald was calling before James was in the top paddock!

Leaving team king with a 2-3 finish

Results
1. James 53.61
2. Mike 54.17
3. Jim 54.42
4. Bob 56.32
5. Andrew Moir 58.18
6. Andrew Mc 59.03
7. Rob k 59.50
8. Fiona 71.48 (only one timed run)

Sunday

Was slightly damp in the morning but quickly dried to the point that it was going to be full send for the last two runs . (Wh**ky in the party bus the night before might of helped settle the nerves)
Mike and James trading times in the 52's which was a fun battle and all across the pack swapping times .
As usual, it's not over till its over !!
Resulting in a Coltart sandwich with a King 1-3 with Mike getting the win 🏆 by the narrowest of margins and a great 3rd again for Jim. Quote of the day " he's quick for a old bu**er 🙂"

Results

1. Mike 52.39
2. James 52.49
3. Jim 54.02
4. Bob 54.39
5. Andrew mc 56.25
6. Andrew moir 56.63
7. Rob 59.18
8. Fiona 61.95

Well done on the new pb's for James , Bob and both the Andrews ! Unfortunately Rob had gear issues to hinder a new pb.
Welldone to fiona taking all her runs on Sunday
