Wishing a very happy retirement to Bringbackmemories! 🍏
'Adam' raced five times at our racecourse, winning on two of his starts including the Musselburgh Gold Cup in 2024 🏆
❤️ On Friday we retired our 2024 Musselburgh Racecourse Gold Cup Winner, BRINGBACKMEMORIES 🖤
🏆 After 46 starts some might say he’s fairly lightly raced, but given he won 7 of them and was placed no less than 17 times, he’s had a fairly decent bite at the cherry. He retires a winner on the turf, the all weather and over hurdles🍒
🍏 Adam has given his Owners, The Adams Apples, some wonderful days out. They are happy in the knowledge that they get to follow his next chapter with Shawni... potentially as a dressage horse 🪩
🏡 Re-homing these kind but highly strung athletes is never easy but we do do our best 🥰

🌧️ Thank Goodness for the Rain: a Summer of Racing at Musselburgh! 🏇
Before we look ahead to the final few Flat fixtures of 2026, Musselburgh’s Office Manager Jill has been looking back at a summer packed with big winners, brilliant racing and plenty of sunshine. ☀️
From the debut of the Class 1 £80,000 Goliath Cup and a dramatic Sky Bet Sunday Series double-header, to the Edinburgh Cup, Ladies Day and our action-packed August fixtures, it’s been quite a summer at our track.
There have been some fantastic performances along the way – and with just four Flat racedays remaining, the Trainers’ and Jockeys’ Championships are still providing plenty to keep an eye on!

It was fantastic to welcome classes from Loretto and Rosewell Primary Schools to our racedays during National Racehorse Week.
The pupils had the chance to:

🏆 Step into the parade ring to present prizes to our winning connections
