What a 24 hours. Honestly, where do I even start?
It’s been an absolute whirlwind — a roller coaster of emotions, stress, doubt and moments where I genuinely wondered if we were going to make it.
But somehow, against the odds, the unthinkable has happened… I’ve saved Nailsworth Town 🖤💜
There were times when it felt easier to fold the club and walk away. But those closest to me know that was never really an option. They know what this club means to me and how much I’ve put into keeping it alive.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to read, like and share my post. The response has been incredible. My phone genuinely hasn’t stopped pinging all day — it’s been absolutely mad! 😂
A huge thank you also to the Stroud News & Journal for picking up the story and helping get the message out there. The support and exposure has meant so much.
I also want to say a special thank you to our new gaffer, Lee, for being so patient with me while I’ve been working hard to save the club. At times, he must have been sat there thinking, *“Why the hell did I take this job?”* 😂
But Lee, thank you for sticking with me, believing in what we’re trying to build and understanding what we’ve been up against. Now we can finally concentrate on what really matters — football.⚽️
And finally, to the players who have taken a chance and chosen to come to Nailsworth Town— thank you. You could have gone elsewhere, but you’ve chosen to be part of this journey, and that means a hell of a lot.
I know it won’t be easy. We’re going to have challenges along the way, but if we stick together, believe in each other and pull in the same direction, I genuinely believe anything is achievable.
This club has been through a lot, but it’s still standing.
Nailsworth Town is saved. The fight goes on. Now the real journey begins. 💜🖤💪⚽️
