SAFETY ARRANGEMENTS INSIDE MAIN ARENA

To ensure the safety of everyone attending today’s Games and to adhere to our event licence, please note that only competitors and Games officials are allowed inside the inner circle of the competition area.

All spectators MUST remain outside of the competition area on the opposite of the track area.

Anyone who does not adhere to this will be asked to move and the event will be paused.

We want everyone to enjoy the Games and remain safe at all times.

REGISTRATION DETAILS FOR TODAY

Athletics and Heavies - opens at 10am and will close at 12noon. Registration tent is outside the arena

Piping - Junior Piping will open at 10am. Senior piping - should be registered by 12noon

Dancing - dancers should report to dancing by 12noon

Half Marathon - all runners must be registered by 12noon.

Tug of War - registration will be open 1pm - 1.30pm. Competition will start at 2.30pm. Registration tent is outside of arena.

Just a reminder that Heavies can enter on the day for Nairn Games.

TRACK & FIELD TIMETABLE

Registration opens at 10am and will be outside the arena.
Athletes should register 1 hour before their first event and all athletes to be registered by 12 noon.

PLEASE NOTE:- There will be NO on the day entries accepted for the athletic events.

MASSED PIPE BANDS

This year sees a total of 11 Pipe Bands taking part in Games Day, with nearly 200 pipers and drummers in attendance from:-

▪︎ Badenoch and Strathspey
▪︎ Banff Castle
▪︎ Buckie and District
▪︎ Forres and District
▪︎ Huntly and District
▪︎ Inverurie
▪︎ RBL Inverness
▪︎ Strathisla
▪︎ Portsoy

There will also be 4 members of the RBL Nairn colour party marching with the bands from Viewfield.

The timings for the Massed Pipe & Drums on Games Day are as follows:-

1230 hours Depart Viewfield

1245 hours Arrive Games Arena

1415 hours Massed Pipes & Drums

1530 hours March of the Pipes and Drums

1630 hours Massed Pipes and Drums will be dismissed
