🩵 WE ARE ASPIRE 💖

Aspire has always been about so much more than just dance ✨

It’s about the dancers walking through the doors for their very first class, the friendships that grow along the way, the confidence that builds week by week, and watching children realise they’re capable of more than they ever thought 💛

From complete beginners to experienced dancers, there’s a place for everyone at Aspire 🌟

Some children simply come because they love to dance, while others discover a passion for exams, performances or competitions as they grow. We take pride in supporting every dancer in their own journey, wherever it may take them 🎉

They come for the dance lessons, but they leave with so much more! 🩰

A little bit of ballet, a lot of smiles and friendships made along the way! 💖

Because dance is about so much more than just the steps. It’s about growing in confidence, building friendships, making memories and finding somewhere you truly belong 🫶

And these smiles say it all! 🥹

💖 It’s not about what you do on stage that matters most but what happens in the studio 💙

So proud of the way this little dancer continues to grow 🥲

After experiencing a setback the last time she performed this solo, she could easily have let it knock her confidence. Instead, she came straight back into the studio determined to work harder, learn, keep moving forward and drill parts that went wrong 👏

And we’re seeing that determination pay off. At just 8 years old, her confidence is growing, her technique is getting stronger and she’s becoming so much more independent in the way she understands and applies corrections 🙌

Watching her reset, think and try again with more strength and confidence is such a lovely reminder that progress isn’t always about getting everything right, it’s about how you respond when things don’t go to plan 👍

What amazing resilience, determination and maturity from such a young dancer ✨

These are the moments that make us proud far beyond their dancing 💗

💙 SUPERSTAR SATURDAY 💙

This week’s superstar is our mascot, who turns 7 tomorrow! 🎂

This superstar has quite literally grown up with Aspire. From helping paint the studio walls when he was barely even a toddler, to spending years watching classes, joining in, helping me teach (the kids would say he’s tougher than me), travelling to competitions and cheering everyone on 🙌

Along the way he’s gained a whole family of honorary big brothers, sisters, aunties and uncles who have always included him and made him feel part of the team 🩵

It isn’t always easy sharing his mum with an entire dance school but instead of resenting it, he’s become their biggest supporter 💖

He knows their dances, makes me play their songs on repeat in the car, has strong opinions on choreography and is always one of the loudest people cheering from the side 🎉

Happy 7th birthday for tomorrow superstar 💙
You’ve grown up with Aspire and Aspire wouldn’t be the same without you ❤️

✨ Throwback Thursday ✨

Did you know Aspire turned 5 on 21st September? 🎉

We were so busy with competition rehearsals that we completely forgot to stop and celebrate it properly, so here’s a little throwback to some photos from our very first week at Aspire 🥹

When Aspire opened, we had just 4 classes a week, younger ballet, older ballet, younger jazz and older jazz, and I genuinely had no idea where the journey would take us 💖

Over the last five years, I’ve followed the lead of the children. As they’ve grown, developed and wanted to do more, I’ve tried to give them as many opportunities as possible and make sure they receive the best training Aspire can provide. The children are, and always have been, the inspiration behind Aspire 💛

From those 4 weekly classes, we’ve now grown to 13 classes a week and around 60 private lessons, and along the way our dancers have become All England Dance Regional Finalists and Team Wales Dance World Cup Finalists 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We’re also Acrobatic Arts certified, proud members of the ABD, and have maintained a 100% examination pass rate 🏆

But beyond all of those achievements, the most special part has been watching the children grow. Not just as dancers, but in confidence, friendships and belief in themselves 🌟

On the topic of growing up … do you recognise these three little superstars from our very first week, who are still dancing with us today? 👀

Five years of believing, aspiring and achieving… and the children are still the sole reason for it all ✨

✨ What we’re working on Wednesday ✨

Split runs were the focus in this superstars private last week and she worked SO hard on them! 🤩

Lots of drills first, then putting it into practice. Try it, take the correction, go again and keep refining it each time 🙌

We also made sure we worked both sides, building strength, control and confidence evenly 🌟

We also worked on split runs in our Thursday classes, at the end of the video you’ll see some of our younger superstars working hard on one drill 💪

✨ Technique Tuesday ✨

Beautiful ballet starts with strong foundations. 🩰

Before the big turns, jumps and performance moments, there’s so much work that goes into the little details. Posture, placement, control, turnout, pointed feet and clean lines 💖

These are the things we come back to again and again in class, because good technique isn’t built in one lesson. It’s built through repetition, corrections and consistency 🙌

Small details make a big difference, and we love seeing our dancers grow in confidence and control each week 🤩

✨ Motivational Monday ✨

Progress happens when you don’t give up 🙌

It comes from showing up, working hard, taking corrections, trying again and staying consistent even when things feel tough 💪

Every class, every correction and every bit of effort adds up. Keep believing in yourself, keep pushing forward and trust the process 🌟
