GARDEN VILLAGE GIRLS U8s 💜⚽

A fantastic milestone for our U8s this morning as, for the very first time, we entered TWO teams into our Sunday fixtures! 🙌 A brilliant achievement for the Club and fantastic to see our girls' section continuing to grow!

⚽ TEAM ONE
Team one faced Ammanford, Penllergaer and a very strong Dafen side!

Sydney was in great form, scoring a couple of goals and making some fantastic attacking runs, with opportunities for several more! Jennifer also came incredibly close against Penllergaer. Some brilliant passing, tackling and determination from Rosie, Irys and Shelby against some tough opposition. They all gave 100% this morning which was a pleasure to watch.

⚽ TEAM TWO
Team two kicked off with a fantastic win against Sandfields, with Reeva and Iyla getting on the scoresheet! 🔥 Another hard-fought victory against Loughor followed, before finishing with a very evenly matched 0–0 draw against Pontarddulais. An unbeaten morning! 🙌

Sophia, Evelyn and Gwen were brilliant defensively, with some excellent goalkeeping too! 🧤 A special mention to Evelyn for showing incredible bravery today. We're all very proud of you! 💜

WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
A huge shout-out to Iyla and Layla, who both made their Sunday match debuts for Garden Village! Welcome to the team both👏

🌬️ Overall, Despite the windy conditions, it was brilliant to see them enjoying their football, giving 100% effort across all three games and supporting each other!

⚽💜 Garden Village Girls U10s 💜⚽

A tough morning for the girls at a windy Morriston, with really difficult conditions making it hard to play their usual football. Despite this, we finally got to play in our kit, and they showed great determination, teamwork and never-give-up spirit! 👏

🟣 Garden Village 1-1 Penllergaer

Beca got our goal in a hard-fought draw. Aurora, Florence and Lily worked tirelessly, while Amira D was fantastic in her first-ever game, showing great enthusiasm and confidence! 💜

🟣 Garden Village 0-1 Clydach

A closely fought game with Lacey making some excellent saves. Izzy, Gracie, Seren and Daisy all showed great commitment and worked hard for the team. 👏

🟣 Garden Village 0-3 Talycopa

Another challenging game, but the girls kept battling. Ezmee with some strong tackles, while Ava-Grace showed improved determination to beat the opposition to the ball. Seren and Daisy worked really hard in defence to try and keep some dangerous strikers under control💪

🌟 Player of the Week – Lacey 🌟

Well done to Lacey for some outstanding goalkeeping and fantastic saves throughout the morning! 🧤 A thoroughly deserved award. It’s never easy being a goalie, but the goals were all from super strikes and without Lacey’s wonderful saves today the scores would have been wider. A super effort👍

The results didn’t go our way, but we’re incredibly proud of all the girls, especially for their efforts in such difficult conditions. Keep smiling, keep learning and see you all in training!

Come on, Village! 💜🤍⚽

Another fantastic performance from our Garden Village Under 6 girls! 🌟

The girls were brilliant at closing the opposition down, working hard as a team and showing great determination to win the ball back. Going forward, the attacking football was amazing, with some lovely play, great movement and plenty of confidence on the ball! 👏⚽

Best of all, there were smiles all round, with the girls enjoying their football, supporting each other and continuing to develop every week. The progress these girls are making is fantastic to see! 💚

A huge well done to every single one of them — keep working hard, keep smiling and keep enjoying your football! 🙌

Our U11s girls were at Penrhos this morning in tough windy conditions.

We played 3 games against Rockpur, Pontarddulais and Cwmaman, unfortunately losing all 3 but with some really good performances.

Olivia scored twice and Neave on debut put in an excellent defensive performance. Neave was POTW

We headed down to Penrhos in some of the worst conditions we've played in this season, with heavy rain and strong winds making football a real challenge. Despite that, Garden Village Colts were outstanding throughout the day, showing great attitude, determination and teamwork from start to finish.

⚽ Game 1 – Garden Village Colts 3-3 Pembrey

We started the day against a very well-drilled Pembrey side and produced a brilliant battling performance. Two fantastic goals from Cole and another from Harry helped us earn a deserved 3-3 draw in an entertaining game that could have gone either way.

⚽ Game 2 – Garden Village Colts 0-3 Albies

Our second game was against a well-organised Albies team. While the scoreline didn't go our way, the team never stopped working, competing for every ball and showing great spirit right until the final whistle.

⚽ Game 3 – Garden Village Colts 2-2 Dafen

We finished the day against a very physical Dafen side and, in our opinion, produced our best performance of the morning. We played some excellent football and were definitely the stronger side for large periods of the game. Goals from Harry and Ava deservedly put us on the scoresheet, with the match ending 2-2.

👏 A huge well done to every player. The results only tell part of the story today. In extremely tough conditions, the effort, character and togetherness shown by this group were fantastic. The boys and girls can be incredibly proud of themselves, and so can all the parents and coaches. Plenty of positives to take away, some great goals scored, and another day of learning and developing together. 🖤🤍

A fantastic performance from our 14s this morning!

It was a miserable morning for football, but the quality of play and the scoreline certainly brightened up the day!

The boys played some excellent football, with sharp passing, great movement and brilliant link-up play. The J & J partnership up top were on fire, combining for 5 goals and 3 assists between them! 🔥 A real handful for the opposition and a joy to watch.

With lots of boys missing and only two subs available, it was a big test of fitness and character. Our fitness sessions are clearly starting to pay off, with the boys working tirelessly and maintaining their intensity throughout.

The win puts the boys back at the top of the league table, a great reward for all the hard work going in on and off the pitch!

Well done, lads!🖤🤍💜
