We at Neston Hockey Club are excited to announce the appointment of new men's head coach Albert Marcano to the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Albert comes to Neston with a wealth of experience in coaching, playing & umpiring across his hockey career. Most notably Albert represented Trinidad & Tobago as a player over 13 years, as an assistant coach for both the U21 & U18 national teams, and even umpiring at the Junior World Cup in 2005. He has also coached at various UK clubs, as well as universities and in the England Hockey system. It is clear that he will bring a wide & unique skillset to the Neston dugout.
Speaking to Albert he stated: “I’m really excited at the prospect of joining the Neston Hockey Club family this season with the aim of helping to restore the club to its former glory. I’m looking forward to the challenge of coaching the men’s first team to another successful season with the hope that we can go one further!”.
We wish Albert a warm welcome and the best of success here at Neston, we cannot wait to see the impact he can bring to the club on and off the pitch.
