A gorgeous week of doing a variety of things last week with our CLtH Young people 💚

Some of our learners spent time mastering their Intro to Horse Care knowledge - putting on and taking off a head collar, approaching and leading a pony and labelling the points of a horse correctly 🧠

It was our showjumping event at WRC so some of our learners really pushed themselves and had a little jump🐴

Our life skill this week allowed us to focus on some basic skills so we perfected how to do all things horsey… tying up hay nets, quick release knots & putting on and taking off a rug. All the things we do everyday, but the things we must do properly ✅ 🌟

🐴 PART-TIME RIDING COACH WANTED 🐴

Wirral Riding Centre

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Part-Time Riding Coach to join our team!

The ideal candidate will:
🐎 Be a BHS Stage 2 qualified coach or currently working towards this, with relevant coaching experience.
🐎 Have experience working in a busy riding school environment.
🐎 Have their own transport.
🐎 Be available to work one day at weekend and a late shift.
🐎 Be confident, friendly and passionate about delivering high-quality instruction and excellent care for our horses and clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their coaching experience and become part of a friendly, busy riding centre.

Starting Friday 30th October at Wirral Riding Centre!

Keep jumping throughout the winter with our monthly indoor Show Jumping League, suitable for everyone from complete beginners and lead-rein riders through to those jumping up to 70cm.

⭐ CLEAR ROUNDS
🐴 Lead Rein Clear Round – 20cm
🐴 Child Clear Round – 20cm
🐴 Adult Clear Round – 40cm
🏵️ Rosettes for ALL clear rounds!

🏆 LEAGUE CLASSES

🥇 Novice – up to 70cm

The competition will take place on the last Friday of every month from October through to March, giving riders the chance to compete regularly throughout the winter.

🌟 Certificate of Commendation! 🌟

One of our fabulous young people was nominated for the Pamela Almond Changing Lives through Horses Award - an award that recognises the progress a young person has made since starting the CLTH programme and what HUGE progress she has made…

✨ From not attending mainstream high school at all from Year 9, she started attended with us for 3 full days
✨ She very quickly learnt that horses had the ability to allow her to feel calm and she used everything about them and our programme to help herself to manage and regulate her emotions
✨ As she felt more and more comfortable with our environment and our coaches she allowed us to support her to develop and improve her own patience, resilience and communication skills
✨ She has smashed the CLTH programme and passed her BHS stage 1 assessment with us last academic year ✨ This year she is on a POST-16 journey with us - continuing on the programme for 3 full days, now working through the Gold objectives and accessing BHS stage 2 training with us!

You definitely deserve to be recognised - well done! ⭐️
