🌿 PARENTS: YOU SURVIVED THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS… NOW IT’S YOUR TURN. 🐴

Six weeks of entertaining everyone.
Feeding everyone.
Driving everyone.
Sorting everyone.
Keeping everyone happy.

And somewhere in amongst all of that… you can lose yourself a little.

So, for a limited time, No Reins CIC is offering parents a special 60-minute Parent Reset Session for just £45.

This hour is about YOU.

A chance to step away from the noise, breathe, recharge your batteries, refill your cup and remember who you are outside of being “Mum”, “Dad” or the person everybody needs something from.

🐴 Your 60-minute reset could include:

• Simply spending quiet, unhurried time alongside our horses
• Taking one of our ponies on a gentle wellbeing walk
• Groundwork and connection activities
• Exploring confidence, boundaries and self-belief through working with a horse
• Or simply slowing everything down and enjoying being present for an hour

There’s something very different about being around horses. Their calm presence, rhythmic breathing and responsiveness to our body language can naturally encourage us to slow down, become more present and notice what’s happening within ourselves.

Research into human–animal interaction also suggests that positive contact with animals can support relaxation and reductions in stress — although we don't need to make grand claims about it.

Sometimes an hour away from everyday responsibilities, outdoors and alongside a horse, is enough to create a little space to think again.

💚 60 minutes
💚 Special post-summer price: £45
💚 No horse experience needed
💚 No riding — everything is ground-based

We know at No Reins just how unbelievably hard parenting can be. You spend so much time looking after everybody else.

This one is for you.

Message the page to book your Parent Reset Session 🐴🌿

Tiny Stetson’s forelock. 💖

From one angle, you’d be forgiven for thinking the poor little man can’t see a thing. His whole face disappears behind a wall of blonde hair.

Move just a little to the side… and suddenly you realise he can see perfectly well.

Nothing about Stetson changed. Only our perspective did. 😎

And people can be a lot like that too.

Sometimes we look at a situation, a behaviour, or even ourselves from one position and feel certain we understand what we’re seeing.

But change the angle slightly. Look at what might be happening underneath. Consider another person’s experience. Give yourself a little more information…

…and the picture can look completely different. 👁

At No Reins, our horses give us opportunities to explore things like this without needing all the answers or the right words.

Sometimes the thing in front of us hasn’t changed at all.

We’ve simply found another way of looking at it.

And Stetson’s magnificent forelock demonstrates it rather perfectly. ❤️🐴

🐴 When your teacher insists on helping with the worksheet…

Today Traitor was helping one of our clients learn all about the different parts of the bridle — and clearly thought she should be involved in checking the answers too! 😂

This is what we love about learning alongside the horses. A simple worksheet becomes hands-on, engaging and memorable, helping our clients learn through interaction and connection.

Traitor takes her teaching role very seriously… although trying to eat the worksheet probably isn't part of the lesson plan! 🤣

No fear… no fences… No Reins.

🐴 6-WEEK EQUINE-ASSISTED SUPPORT PROGRAMME – NEW SCHOOL YEAR

With the new school year beginning, No Reins is opening spaces for our 6-week equine-assisted support programme for children and young people who may be struggling.

Sessions are groundwork-based – no riding and no previous experience with horses is needed.

The programme can support young people experiencing:

• Anxiety or low confidence
• Difficulties with emotional regulation
• Low self-esteem
• School avoidance or difficulties engaging with education
• SEND or additional needs
• Social or communication difficulties
• Challenges with relationships, trust or boundaries
• Young people who simply need a different environment in which to feel safe, understood and successful

Over six sessions, we use carefully planned activities alongside our horses to build confidence, communication, emotional awareness, resilience and self-belief.

🏫 Schools & professionals: We are currently reaching out directly to local schools as the new academic year begins. If you are a SENCO, pastoral lead, teacher or other professional supporting a young person who may benefit, please get in touch.

💛 Parents & carers: You do not need to wait for a school referral. Parents and carers can self-refer their child or young person directly to No Reins to discuss whether the programme could be suitable.

We work with primary and secondary-aged young people, and sessions are tailored around the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

📩 Please message No Reins for further information or to discuss a referral.

PLEASE SHARE – particularly with parents, carers, SENCOs, teachers, pastoral teams and anyone working with children and young people locally. One share could put this in front of a family or professional looking for exactly this kind of support.

No fear… no fences… No Reins. 🐴

🐴❤️ Six years since I last rode this girl…

Today I got back on Echo for a plod.

She’s 28 years young now, and the last time I actually rode her was six years ago — but today we headed out together again.

And she absolutely LOVED it. 🥰

Ears forward, marching out and clearly very pleased to be back out exploring. It was so lovely to feel how much she was enjoying herself.

At 28, Echo may be one of the older members of the No Reins herd, but today she reminded me that age really is just a number.

I think we both came home with a smile on our faces. ❤️🐴

🌱 THE GRASS IS GREEN!! 🌱

After what feels like forever staring at dry, brown fields… we finally have GREEN! 💚

The rain has worked its magic and the grass is actually starting to grow again. 🙌

It might not look like much to everyone else, but when you’ve spent the summer worrying about grazing, watching the fields disappear and desperately rain dancing… this is a VERY exciting sight! 😂🌧️

Come on little grass… GROW, GROW, GROW! 🌱🐴💚

🌧️🌧️ RAIN!!! ACTUAL, PROPER RAIN!!! 🌧️🌧️

I don't think I've ever been this happy to see the yard looking like a swamp! 😂🙌

After weeks of staring at rock-hard, dusty ground and fields that have forgotten what the colour green looks like... LOOK AT IT! 💦💦💦

Puddles. Mud. Standing water. Absolutely glorious! 🤣

Never thought I'd be celebrating soggy feet and muddy gateways, but when you've got horses and land that desperately need it, this is a VERY beautiful sight. 🌱🐴

Keep going, rain... we've missed you! 🌧️💚

No fear… no fences… No Reins. Plenty of RAIN!! 🤣

We all need someone in our corner. ❤️🐴

Watching these two standing together, heads down, sharing their hay, got me thinking about how important our support systems really are.

And that doesn’t change with age.

Children need them. Teenagers need them. Adults need them. Parents, carers, professionals, business owners, people who look like they’ve got everything together… we all need them.

Sometimes support is advice or practical help. Sometimes it’s someone cheering you on when things are going well. And sometimes it’s simply having someone quietly beside you when they’re not.

We aren’t meant to navigate everything alone.

So find your herd. 🐴❤️
And perhaps just as importantly, be part of someone else’s.

Because life feels a little easier when you know somebody is standing beside you.

No fear… no fences… No Reins.
