This weekend we're joining other junior parkrun UK events in celebrating Olympic Day, where you're welcome to join us in colours of the Olympic rings 🔵🟡⚫🟢🔴

🌞 It's the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. What better way to make the most of all of that daylight by starting your Sunday with a junior parkrun 🤗

🧔 It's also Father's Day too. We'd love to see lots of dads join their juniors for a fun walk, hop, skip, jog or run around our course

We had a few questions from First Timers on Sunday so here's some parkrun myth busting 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🤸🏼‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️👷‍♀️👷‍♂️🤗

🩵 parkrun and junior parkrun are totally FREE, and thanks to our supporters and volunteers will always be 🤗

💛 Your parkrun barcode can be used at any event anywhere in the world. Print it off, take a screenshot or download the parkrun app and then show it to the barcode scanner at the finish 🌍

🧡 Events start at the same time every week. 5k events on a Saturday. 2k junior events on a Sunday. Most start at 9am, but some a little earlier or later depending on region or country, so do check their event pages before setting off 🕘

💜 Anyone can take part at parkrun. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer. Turn up, take part, repeat 👍

♥️ junior parkrun events are for 4 to 14 year olds. juniors can take part right up to the day before their 15th birthday, so even more time to achieve a junior milestone ☺️
