Many of you will already know our next new introduction….our fantastic new yard manager Ellen! Here’s what Ellen has to say….

“Hi everyone!!
I’m Ellen, the new instructor and yard manager. The chestnut horse is Viho, aka V and bubba. He’s my 16.1 16yr old ex racehorse. I got him in 2016 and we’ve done a bit of everything together from dressage all the way through to a mini team chase!!
I started my career with horses teaching straight out of university. More recently I branched out to working with eventers and in the racing industry, riding out national hunt (jumping) racehorses. Cantering up the gallops daily and taking the ones I looked after racing. Winning numerous best turned out awards! I love plaiting up and making the horses look their absolute best.

I knew the minute I started teaching on my interview that I’d enjoy working here. It reminded me just how much I’d missed and love teaching. I’m really looking forward to helping riders progress and achieve their goals, whether that be beginners getting their rising trot or cantering for the first time. To more experienced riders doing more advanced flatwork and jumping. Building confidence and having fun with it along the way. All whilst keeping the yard running smoothly!”

Everyone is already loving their lessons with Ellen and we can’t wait to have lots of fun throughout the summer holidays and sharing all the fun with her!

We’ve had lots of new faces around the yard over the last few weeks, so let us introduce you to them all!

First up is 👑 DUCHESS 👑

Duchess is a 16.2hh Irish sports horse with the kindest heart. She needs lots of love and TLC over the next couple of months while she builds some muscle and relaxes into her new happy home, so isn’t available to be ridden in lessons just yet, but she’s definitely available for love and cuddles if you see her around the yard!

Our super brave riders blew us away on our vaulting pony day last week 🤸

Lots of new skills learnt, especially balance, teamwork and that we can do hard things, even if they feel a bit scary!

We had so much fun, keep an eye out for more vaulting days next holidays!

What better way to spend a sunny bank holiday than riding to the pub 🍻🐴
