2025 Announcement

To ensure the continued success and longevity of the Half Marathon, the committee of volunteers are handing over the organisation of the event to RunThrough.

We want to thank each and everyone in previous years who have organised, supported, sponsored, ran and volunteered, especially to the committee and the local running clubs.

Special thanks to DB Wood and other local businesses for the sponsorship and support in previous events. With out you it would not have been possible to hold the event.

Needless to say, its great news that the event is continuing for next year and we’re ensuring a seamless handover to Runthrough.

We will be keeping this page open until the new year when it will be closed off.

Well done to all those that completed our first virtual newark half marathon over this past weekend.
For those that haven't been able to submit results following your virtual run, we had a slight technical glitch, this has now been sorted and results can now be uploaded until the 17th August.

Today is the last day to get your entries in for this weekend's Virtual Newark Half Marathon.

Also Notts TV will be coming to Newark today and would like to speak to anyone who has entered into this year's virtual event.

This is the wonderful medal which has been designed by Anna Harrison, which will be sent out to all those that sign up (selecting the option to receive a medal) and complete the 2024 Virtual Newark Half marathon.
Don't worry, your hard earned medal will come with the lovely purple ribbon as modelled by Anna ☺️

We are almost halfway through May don't forget our competition is still live to design our 2024 virtual half marathon medal, and entries are open to participate in the virtual half marathon itself 10th-11th august 2024, visit our website for further details and sign up links.

The chosen winner of the medal design competition will have their design put onto this years virtual half marathon medal and will also get a medal to keep.

● Keep your design within the template
● This years medal will be made of wood
● Your design will only work if you use black and white (don’t use colour in your design)
● Our medal machine will not pick up on the finer details, it’s best to make your design
clear and bold (this includes text)
● Think about locations, routes and landmarks
● Don't forget to include your name, age and address on your entry submission
