Falkland Cricket Club - Newbury This is Falkland Cricket Club. Home of the best cricket in West Berkshire. Falkland Cricket Club is one of the leading clubs in Berkshire.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd X1 play in the Thames Valley Cricket League and the 4th X1 play in the Berkshire Cricket League. Our Women's team play in the Home Counties Premier League. We also run 2 Sunday sides and 2 teams in the Serious Cricket Downs League on Wednesday nights. We run Junior sides at U-9, U-13 and U15 age groups for boys and girls. Lastly we also run a Disability Team.

🏏 Six Years of One Community Cricket – THANK YOU!

What a way to mark the 6th Annual One Community Cricket Day at Falkland Cricket Club!

Before anything else, we simply want to say THANK YOU.

Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time, every player who stepped onto the pitch, every stallholder who brought something to share, our umpires and scorers who kept the games moving, and our first aiders who were there when needed.

A very special thank you to Falkland Cricket Club for giving us the use of the Main Ground and welcoming One Community Cricket. Having a space where everyone can come together, play, watch, meet and enjoy the day is a huge part of what makes this event possible.

And thank you to everyone who came along, supported the teams, chatted, laughed, ate, encouraged and helped create the atmosphere.

Because the success of One Community Cricket isn’t down to one person or one organisation.

It happens because people participate.

Six years on, the idea remains simple: bring people together through cricket, create a space where everyone can feel welcome, and celebrate what happens when a community comes together.

Of course, while there can only be one winning team on the scoreboard, One Community Cricket is about much more than winning. It is about participation, connection, friendship, inclusion and belonging.

Another season comes to a close.. 🍂

Fantastic effort from all teams this year, with all 7 of our Saturday/Sunday League sides finishing in the top 5.

Whilst no team secured the promotion they were after this year each team fought valiantly until the final game with our 4th XI missing out on promotion by just a single point - A testament to the club values from an extremely young team.

Celebrating Six Years of One Community Cricket

As part of National Inclusion Week, we are proud to be hosting the 6th annual One Community Cricket & Family Fun Day at the Main Ground, Falkland Cricket Club.

Over the past six years, One Community Cricket has grown into much more than a sporting event. It has become a celebration of diversity, inclusion, friendship and community spirit, bringing people together through a shared love of cricket and connection.

This year's event will see 12 community teams come together, representing people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, abilities and genders. The diversity of the teams reflects the strength of our communities and demonstrates how sport can create opportunities for everyone to belong, participate and thrive.

Whether competing on the field or cheering from the boundary, every person attending plays a part in creating an environment where everyone is welcome.

For six years, this event has celebrated the belief that diversity is a strength and that communities are stronger when everyone feels valued, respected and included. It is a living example of the National Inclusion Week message:

As families enjoy a day out, local organisations connect with residents, businesses showcase their services, and players take to the field, we celebrate not only cricket but also the people who make our communities so vibrant.
