We’re delighted to have introduced our Volunteer of the Month award at Newcastle Town FC — a chance to recognise the amazing people who give their time, energy and commitment to help make our club more than a club.

👏 Voting for August has now closed, and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate and vote. We’ll find out the winner this Friday!

“Izzy was one of the standout performers today in a slightly unfamiliar position at left back. I thought that she controlled her side of the defensive line well, made some really important challenges and got the ball moving forward in the right way.

The trophy could have gone to a few players but for me Izzy’s performance today embodied what we are trying to build here; an environment where individuals are happy to put the team goals ahead of personal ambition and a want for the collective to be a sum of very good parts. What swung this in Izzy’s favour today was that she did exactly that with good discipline, huge drive and great quality”

Our U18s played their first game together as Newcastle Town Women FC yesterday.

Despite a 2–0 defeat, with just 11 players and no subs, the girls put in a fantastic performance and made manager Ant very proud.

The kits are ready, boots are sorted, shin pads found, bags are packed… now we just need kick-off! ⚽🙌

This weekend sees lots of our girls’ teams begin their 2026/27 season after training hard all summer and getting ready for that first whistle.

To every one of our girls — GOOD LUCK! 🍀

We hope you have the BEST season. Make new friends, get fitter and stronger, learn new skills, enjoy being part of your team and, hopefully, win a few games along the way! 🙌⚽

⚽️ WHAT’S ON WEDNESDAYS AT ROE LANE? ⚽️

Wednesday nights are always busy, with our U7s, U8s, U12s and U18s all training and preparing for the new season, which starts this weekend!

Tonight, our U10s also have a friendly match on Pitch 1, while the Women’s First Team prepare for Sunday’s away fixture against Telford.

We’re also looking for new coaches to help with several of our teams. If you fancy getting involved, come along and have a chat with us!

Whether you want to play, coach or simply watch, everyone is welcome. Come and see where you could fit into our growing girls’ and women’s pathway! 💙⚽️
