The FIFTY

The FIFTY tournament 2022 successfully raised over £300 for Alice charity and participants came from so many clubs all over Staffordshire.

Rain abandoned play on the Porthill ground for a brief moment which meant that the games couldn’t go ahead as planned. It was unfortunate that the Chargers only got to play one game. Apologies.

Scores as follows:

Game 1: Brave v Spirit
Winners : Spirit

Game 2: Phoenix v Originals
Winners : Pheonix (with an impressive score of 98 in FIFTY balls)

Game 3: Rockets v Chargers
Winners : Rockets

Game 4: Rockets v Pheonix
Winners : Rockets

Game 5: Originals v Brave
Winners : Originals (rain abandoned play, however Originals won on strike rate)

Game 6: Spirit v Chargers
Game abandoned due to rain.

All proceeds from the raffle, the entry fee and all donations from our vendors went to Alice Charity.

Special mention to Rebecca Ojtmindfulness, who kindly donated all the wonderful raffle prizes.
Gary Stanyer for the match balls and JS Sports UK Ltd Trent Trophies for the medals and trophy. Thanks to the volunteers in the kitchen Porthill Park Cricket Club and all guys who volunteered to umpire and score the games.

Most of all , thanks to all the junior players from all clubs in and around Staffordshire including Audley Cricket Club, Barlaston Cricket Club, Fordhouses Cricket Club, Hem Heath Cricket Club, Little Stoke Cricket Club, Longton cricket club, Moddershall Cricket Club, Newcastle & Hartshill Cricket Club, Porthill Park Cricket Club Juniors, Sandyford Cricket Club, Wedgwood Cricket Club, Whitmore Cricket Club and all the attendees.

We are already planning next years event. I will keep you posted on the amount that was raised by the event and will let you know about the projects helped by these funds.
