Our Under 7s had their first taste of 3v3 football today at the superbly organised Wendy Jones Welcome to Football Festival, held at FC Hanley.

The boys were only put together in August through our Starter Sessions, so today was a fantastic first experience of junior football. Most importantly, they had a brilliant time, enjoyed themselves and took plenty of confidence from the day! 👏

A huge well done to all the boys for giving it their all and representing the club brilliantly. 💙

It’s been a busy first weekend for the majority of our junior teams, with plenty of wins, a few defeats, but most importantly, plenty of children having fun! 🙌

A first shout-out of the season goes to our Sunday U15s, who got their season off to a fantastic start with a 3–0 victory over Stone Dominoes at Roe Lane Playing Fields. 👏⚽

Redgate Clayton 1–3 Newcastle Town Reserves/u23s 🔵⚪

A fantastic away win for Newcastle Town Reserves/u23s in the Staffordshire Premier League!

Newcastle dominated the first half with some great football and created plenty of chances, but couldn’t find the breakthrough.

Redgate took the lead five minutes into the second half, but Newcastle responded brilliantly. Great work from Ricardo Gordon saw him put a ball across the box for Maverick Barker to slot home and make it 1–1.

On the 62nd minute, Harrison Hulme stepped up from the spot after a foul on Aaron Garvey. The Redgate keeper made an excellent save, tipping Hulme’s well-placed penalty onto the post — but Harrison stayed composed to finish the rebound and put Newcastle ahead. 🔥

With Redgate pushing for an equaliser, Newcastle defended superbly. The relentless pressing from the front line then paid off, with Harrison Hulme making the most of the opportunity to seal a deserved 3–1 victory! 💪⚽

A brilliant second-half response and a well-earned three points on the road! 👏
