Lindy Potters Swing Dance

Whoop! Yep we are teaching again over Biddulph Moor.

This will be such a fun day!

Following the huge success of our first Lindy Hop Dance Class. We've now organised a one day "Zero to Hero" Lindy Hop Dance Workshop.

The workshop will be held over one day, from 11am to 4pm, and will be taught by our fantastic teachers Victoria and Vince, the founders of "The Lindy Potters Swing Dance Studio" ....

11am - Midday - First Session
Midday - 1pm - Second Session
1pm - 2pm - Break / Practice / Socialise
2pm - 3pm - Third Session
3pm - 4pm - Fourth Session

This workshop will take you from a complete beginner, to being able to hold your own on the dance floor, in this fun dance genre.

We intend to build our workshop and dance classes into regular sessions across the year, and even arrange organised social dances.

Whoop last night was fab up at Lindy on the Moor love how much everybody was social dancing last night :) it has certainly been a crash course in Lindy Hop, we really wanted to give everybody the foundations of why we love this dance so much!

Next week is the last one of this block and a bit of a Christmas party, and we are super excited about it!!

Whoop! We have been having a great time teaching up at Biddulph Moor these past few Fridays, and this week was Charleston week!

It has been amazing watching this lovely group of dancers enter the fabulous world of Lindy Hop and they really are getting it. I think it's our fave thing as teachers when something clicks! And these guys have been smashing it as we didn't go easy and started straight of with swing outs!

We have a couple of weeks left of this block (feel free to hit us up if you are interested in joining us!) and ending with a bit of a Christmas social dance.

It's been a relaxed weekend at LindyPotters HQ while we work on plans and music for classes starting this Friday!!

In prepping for upcoming classes I was procrastinating on YouTube (as you do!) and I was reminded about how much I have always enjoyed Frida and Skye's dancing, they were some of my earliest inspiration as a newbie and they are still inspiring me now!

LINDY ON THE MOOR! - THE LAUNCH
The most fun you can have on the dance floor!
7th November 2025 @ 7PM Biddulph Village Hall

Lindy Hop is a street dance rooted in African-American culture, born in the Savoy Ballroom, New York in the 1930's it developed alongside the big band swing music of the time, and is often defined by its fun and playfulness on the dance floor, and we're bringing this to Biddulph Moor!
We have teamed up with Victoria and Vincent, 2 extremely passionate dance teachers who hail from Sheffield and Canada, coming direct to you to teach you all the art of Lindy right here on the Moor. Whether you can already make shapes on the dancefloor, or have no rhythm at all, then this class is for you.
Our launch class consists of 6x 2 hours dance lessons, spread over 6 weeks, where you'll learn the fine art of this fun dance, and will be offered at a fantastic introductory offer of £12 each per lesson (normally £8-£10 per hour), or even better, if you sign up for the full 6 weeks up front you'll get it for the fantastic price of £65.40 (inc. booking fee). This offer cannot be repeated, so make the most of this.
On the 6th and final week, we'll be holding a short 2 hour "Social Dance" amongst ourselves, where you can put your new found skills into practice. Don't worry though, as our dance teachers will be on hand to assist should you need some additional coaching.
Following this taster beginners course, we'll likely be starting a new season in the New Year, where we'll be reverting back to the usual 1 hour dance classes, and in time will hold regular 'Beginner' courses, and even an intermediate course for those wanting to move on and progress even further.
This first course starts on Friday 7th November at 7pm, runs for 6 consecutive weeks, culminating in a 1 hour refresher, and a 2 hour 'Social Dance' just for you, and any of your family or friends (not a public event) on the 12th December.
