This horse truly is a superstar. ⭐️⭐️

I’ll admit, after a slow start to the season for Cap and with only three Intermediate runs under my belt so far this season, I was a little nervous taking him around such a big and technical track. But the moment we went into the start box, everything went quiet and I knew we were going to have fun.

I kept the pace sensible as we’re still building fitness, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the time.

Our best finish yet at 4* level, and it feels like there’s so much more to come. The dressage and show jumping are really starting to click now, and it’s exciting to see it all coming together.

A huge thank you to for all your help this week – it certainly paid off!

Bicton International Horse Trials 2026!

Here is to a very exciting week down in sunny Devon with Lenny in the 2*L and Cap in the 4*S. 🙌🏽

Educational day at Osberton in the 100 class with the two young horses. Both produced podium dressage scores.

Leo whispered on a couple of poles but stormed around the XC well inside the time for 5th place, looking ready to step up at Alnwick Ford.

This was Deck’s first 100 — he jumped a lovely clear in the show jumping and was flying around the XC. An enthusiastic jump into the water left us with very little room to organise for the skinny on the way out, but he learned plenty from it.

These two are progressing really well, and I’m confident they’ll become seriously competitive as they move up the levels aiming for both to do
