🏏 Big news. Cricketqube has been selected as one of just 10 organisations across the UK to join the Active Futures LAB, run by UK Youth and The Young Foundation, chosen for our “potential to bring about real and meaningful change for the whole physical literacy sector.”
The LAB brings together 10 organisations from across the country to develop, test, and scale ideas that can shift the physical literacy sector. Our contribution to that mission is our dual-cohort model: young people aged 10 to 14 take part as cricket players, while 15 to 18-year-olds step up as Sport Leaders, gaining coaching qualifications and real world work experience in marketing, business development, and operations. Over the next six months, we’ll be testing this in the North East, building on everything we’ve developed through the Active Futures programme so far.
This is what inclusive cricket looks like when it grows. Watch this space!

Last week, Cricketqube was named on the NatwestSE100 Ones to Watch list
For a team that started by running cricket sessions in a single community hall to be included in this list is a huge achievement. It also highlights how important the work we continue to deliver to the North East is, solidifying our goals to grow CricketQube across the UK and beyond.
Thank you to NatWest Social and Community Capital, Pioneers Post and to the whole CricketQube team!

Cricketqube has arrived in Sheffield! 🏏
We are 3 weeks into our first sessions outside the North East with coach Rob Heyes leading sessions at 3 care homes in the SheffCare group.
We have created sessions that are inclusive so that there is something for everyone, even for those without a sporting background. Across the 43 participants so far, confidence has improved, depression risk has been lowered and mood has been lifted, with 100% of participants wanting to return to sessions!
