The Saturday U13 lads attended the NESC Festival today to get there first taste of 11v11 football. There was some terrific football played on the day and we'd like to thank North-East Sporting-Club for a well ran day.

The lads started off slowly but grew into the tournament and eventually won the Trophy final against a very strong Whickham Fellside.

Really proud of all the lads and this one is for you Jim. ⚽️ ⚽️

It’s with the greatest sadness and a heavy heart that we are writing this post.

Our beloved chairman/main club sponsor has unfortunately gained his angel wings 🪽 this week.

Jim always went above and beyond for our players and family’s. He loved to attend our matches regardless if they were home or away to watch the teams play while he sat and had a coffee and a natter. The children always enjoyed speaking to him after the games, regardless of victory or defeat Jim always had wise words of tactics for them for the next game. In winter months he always made sure the kids were kitted for the weather to come as he didn’t want them being cold.

Presentation night was always his favourite time of the season. He enjoyed organising and preparing the night ready for watching the kids get their trophies and he took great pride in awarding his main shield for his company once a year to his favourite player of the season. Watching them all together brought him so much joy, he loved his football family gathering as he called it.

You will be truly missed beyond measures by everyone at the club Jim. We hope your watching from the skies with pride.
