Congratulations to todayโs players in the Open Singles at the NETT 1* tournament ๐
In the top group, England #10 Ben Piggott took 1st place and the ยฃ100 cash prize without dropping a set. Fellow Ormesby player, Tom Rayner, finished in 2nd, and local boy, Adam Webster completed the top 3.
In Band 2, all the way from Scotland, Yubo Rasmussen finished unbeaten to take the top spot. NETT Junior, Sami, couldnโt extend his winning streak from yesterday, but valiantly finished 2nd ahead of Carlisleโs David Lin in 3rd.
NETT youngster, Philip Moss, won all his matches in his first ever senior event to take the title in Band 3. A tight match against fellow NETT player, Euan Jack, secured the win. Darlingtonโs Dan Connell completed the top 3, triumphing on count back against Alan Roper and Zac Lowes.
The fun hard bat event was won by Tom Rayner, taking out Yubo Rasmussen in straight sets ๐
An enjoyable weekend of table tennis all-round! Thanks to all for supporting our tournamentsโฆ keep your eyes peeled for more in the near future ๐ช
