Some of our students performing their piece Rocket Man at York Theatre Royal as part of Everybody Dance Festival.

Students at NTYD get the chance to work on a weekly basis with industry professionals in a relaxed, creative centred space, with no pressure of examinations or competitions - focusing solely on dance as an outlet for creative expression, individual voice, and a place to make friends, have fun, and perform!

What a weekend! Our students got the chance to perform and close the show at York Theatre Royal as part of York Dance Space’s Everybody Dance Festival.
15 brilliant talented young dancers! We couldn’t be prouder of them!
We had such a brilliant time repping North Shields with Helix Arts ‘s Falling on Your Feet and Staithe with Mouths of the Tyne Community Choir as part of North Shields 800 Finale!
Our dance and live music piece called ‘This Boat Must Hold Us All’ involved a cast of over 40 dancers and singers, aged between 8 and 70+ years.
Hopefully we get the chance to perform this special piece again soon!

We had such a brilliant time repping North Shields with Helix Arts ‘s Falling on Your Feet and Staithe with Mouths of the Tyne Community Choir as part of North Shields 800 Finale!

We’re so proud of our students at NTYD!
Last week, they got to perform in the main hall at National Trust Seaton Delaval Hall as part of Anthony Lo Giudice Dance ‘s production The Guest.
The students worked with Anthony and some of his cast members to devise movement and explore choreographic composition.
The end result was nothing short of epic!
This video is just a small taster of some of the students.
Next up, the students are preparing for a brand new piece to the music of Staithe , which will be performed on North Shields Fish Quay as part of The Guest (supported by Arts Council England and North Shields Cultural Quarter )
We are having such a brilliant week with our very first NTYD summer school 🌞
The students have been working with Rambert students and alumni (and Anthony’s former students) Alex Thirkle, James Mawson and also Louis Jones - taking class with Anthony and learning repertoire from his new production ‘The Guest’.
After this week, the students will then get the chance to perform in a curtain raiser for Anthony Lo Giudice Dance ‘s The Guest on September 27th at National Trust Seaton Delaval Hall
