The Fitness Rooms is a local business dedicated to improving the mental health, wellbeing & positive body image of over 30’s men and women by escaping today’s ‘diet culture’ with a focus geared towards health being measured by better lifestyle choices rather than body weight. We change people's lives, they become fitter, stronger, healthier and happier through 4 principles…functional exercise, simple nutrition, accountability and community…one day at a time!

Continuing on from my previous video last week about quick fix programs that promise 6 pack abs in 6 weeks…

Here are 3 more reasons why quick fix programs that promise outrageous results don’t work…

4. **Individual Variability:** Everyone’s body is different. A one-size-fits-all approach might not work for everyone due to differences in mindset, body composition, and genetics.

5. **Muscle Loss:** Due to the severe calorie restriction the chances of dropping muscle mass increases. This is counterproductive when it’s the driving force to our metabolism. The very thing we need to reduce body fat!

6. ** Glycogen Depletion: Carbohydrates are stored in the body as glycogen, which binds to water. When you drastically reduce your calories through carbohydrate intake, your body uses up glycogen stores, releasing the bound water. This leads to the initial rapid weight loss, but once normal eating resumes, the water weight returns.

In the past four weeks, I've been dedicated to helping The Fitness Rooms community build a solid foundation in muscle endurance, strength, work capacity, and technique, laying the groundwork for their upcoming strength training block.

Unlike generic exercise classes found in commercial gyms catering to the masses, our approach is meticulously tailored for the dedicated few.

During what’s called the Accumulation Phase, we emphasised volume, focusing on building a robust base of strength and endurance. Through carefully curated exercises, we enhanced work capacity, gradually intensifying each week.

We used techniques such as Repeated Effort and TEMPO Training, performing a number of controlled sets with moderate weights, keeping the muscle under the te tension to promote muscular endurance and hypertrophy.

We delved into Dynamic Effort training, enhancing technique and preparing for more intense lifts. This method involved lifting weights swiftly, focusing on speed and power using submaximal weights with maximal force, refining the muscle's ability to generate rapid force. This meticulous preparation has readied their bodies for the challenges ahead.

Now, we move into the Intensification Phase, incorporating the potent technique of Max Effort Training. This isn’t just a workout; it's a journey toward becoming the best you can at lifting weights.

**Today I want to talk to you quick fix programs that promise 6 pack abs in 6 weeks**

Ever noticed the hype around “quick fixes” promising outrageous results?

We’ve all seen it. People jumping from one program to another, yet they never seem to find sustainable results!

Yeah they might show initial progress, but they rarely stick. How many lose weight quickly only to gain it back fast? Too many!

Why does it not work?

They often fall short for a few reasons:

1. **Sustainability:** Extreme diets or workout plans are hard to maintain long-term. People often revert to their old habits after the program ends, leading to regained weight.

2. **Lack of Lifestyle Change:** Quick fixes rarely promote lasting lifestyle changes. Absence of healthy eating and regular exercise as a habit means the results aren’t sustainable.

3. **Focus on Appearance, Not Health:** Quick fix programs often prioritize aesthetics over overall health. Healthy living is holistic, involving mental and physical well-being, not just a flat stomach.
