We’re still feeling the spark of excitement from our April HELD workshops 🧡
Women and girls came together to move, play and explore what it means to hold and be held – by family, community and place. We were also joined by guest artist and CO friend Mahshid Alavi, who led a beautiful workshop in traditional Iranian dance.
“These sessions were amazing for mum’s and daughters to play and have great moments together.”
“The workshops were relaxing, fun and calm. They made our holiday so fun.”
Our next workshops are in May, and we’re inviting more women and girls to take part.
HELD is a gentle, co-created dance theatre project. No experience needed.
The project is for mothers & daughters, grandmothers & granddaughters who are:
• People Seeking Sanctuary
• Have lived experience of displacement
• And/or are from the Global Majority
• Living in Newcastle, Gateshead or Stockton
📆 The next workshops take place during May half term
🥗 Food, refreshments & interpreters provided.
