We are back!

Newcastle Fencing Club restarts Thursday 4th September from 7pm - 8.55pm in the Gymnasium at Gosforth Academy.

There is only one session per week on Thursdays.

If you are intending returning to fencing with the club or starting as a beginner please message me so we can share the payment details etc.

Our first five weeks beginners course starts Thursday 11th September until 9th October , 7 - 8pm, at a cost of £50 per person.

Afternoon everyone, just to confirm the fencing centre has officially closed as of today.

Newcastle Fencing Club will not be running for the rest of the month.

It will return in September (Thursday 4th) from 7pm - 8.55pm in the Gymnasium at Gosforth Academy. We will only have one session per week on a Thursday to start with.

Please cancel all direct debits and standing orders to the current bank account as we will be using new back details going forward and Nicola and I are going to take on the running of the club in the short term. We will need to have new personal detail forms etc and I will share bank details to those who wish to move to Gosforth with us.

We are going to keep the payments the same at £50 per month but with no membership fee at the moment. One off sessions are £15 per session. All payments are to be made at the start of the month and we will not be having fencers train who have not paid their fees.

It is obviously sad to leave the fencing centre but I am excited to see how the club evolves going forward in our new venue.

Notice:

Just to let everyone know Newcastle Fencing and Sports Trust are moving out of the Unit on Benifled Business Park this weekend so it will no longer be the home of Newcastle Fencing Club.

We are reopening Newcastle Fencing Club in September in a different venue with details to follow shortly.

If anyone has equipment stored there it needs removing by the end of our Thrusday evening session this week.

We are going to have our last session Thursday from 7-9pm for members; (non members are welcome to come along for a last fencing session for £15 cash).

It would be good to see some of our past fencers coming along for a fence with us.

This is quite sad news after eleven years of being at Newcastle Fencing Centre and thank you to all our fencers and volunteers who have been part of our clubs journey over the years. The future for the club is exciting with our move etc so watch this space!

Newcastle Fencing Centre has a charity fundraiser, in partnership with Newcastle University Fencing Club, this Friday.

It would be great to get them as much support as possible as well as donations!
