Another week rolls around for the mens Hadrian league team and its a short trip up the hill to Tyneside on Wednesday night!! After picking up the best result so far last week the lads are itching to grab some more points in another tough away fixture but great to have the local derby back on the fixtures for the year. As always all support for the lads would be greatly appreciated so come down for a watch as the teams will be looking to tee off about 5:30-6ish, UP THE RGC!!!

SO CLOSE!!!! Well the lads nearly did it 😂. The Mens Hadrian League team managed a 6-6 draw with Westerhope last night with good wins for G.Lee & C.Stavers and halved matches for S.Lee and G.Mcmullen both just missing putts for their wins on the last so massive well done to the lads for the result!! That also see’s the half way stage for the league so lets see if the lads can kick on and have a better second half to the season with the Hadrian league plate also starting from now for the teams in 9th to 15th position in the league standings after 7 games running a separate league along side the normal fixtures till the end of the season so hopefully the lads can give a good showing in the Plate having previously winning the plate in its inaugural year. Again well done lads UP THE RGC!!

Well the search for the elusive first win continues 🤦‍♂️. The Mens Hadrian league team were on the end of a 9-3 home loss. There was some bright moments with R.Beverley grinding out a good 1 up win after being a few up early on in his match so doing well to keep ahead after a fight back from his opponent & G.Mcmullen having to produce a great birdie on the last to secure a half in his match so well done lads. Its been a hard school for the lads so far but at least they look good in the new team tops for the year again massive thanks to Ben Broadhead Plumbing & Heating for sponsoring the team this year and please get in touch with him for any work you may need!!

The Mens Hadrian league team take on High Gosforth Park at home tomorrow night, with the league table looking a little bleak for the team 😬 The lads will be looking in the next few weeks to try and climb however high they can so any support from members or anyone wanting to watch please feel free to come and help the lads out!!

Less then two weeks till this years Captain Greg Lee will host his Captains Day Competition on Saturday 20th June!! If you haven’t already club members please get your names down on the start sheet that is up on the Captains noticeboard in the mens locker room, its a shotgun start 4 ball waltz but teams of three can play starting at 10:15. Its £5 per person with some great prizes for the winning teams and some closets to the pins plus a longest drive. Along with this there’s a Captains raffle which is £1 a strip tickets available behind the bar with some amazing prizes to be won so even if you cant make the golf come down for a drink in the clubhouse after to help congratulate this years captain!! All this is to raise money for his chosen charity the Sen Support Space let’s get behind the captain and club and help make it a great day!!⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️👏⛳️

Ryton golf club would like to wish Jack Moulding and Jonathon Anderson the best of luck in their second round of the Creator Golf Club Championship!! After a great win in their first match at Ryton against a pair from Close House the lads are traveling up to Roxburghe Golf Club tomorrow. All the best lads go on and smash it!!

Ryton Golf Club will be holding a 9 Hole Texas Scramble Competition on Tuesday 23rd June.

Start at 7pm (Shotgun Start)

Members £10 per person (£40 team)
Visitors £20 per person (£80 team)

Well another rough night for the mens Hadrian league team last night 😬, as always its a hard venue Slaley Hall to travel too and pick up points and last night was no different with the team taking the heavy 12-0 defeat. As always Slaley Hall was in great condition and a pleasure to play, a tough test for the lads but the team is still in great spirits and even with the poor results still enjoying the first season back and have been a credit to the club and Captain!!
