WORLD WATERSKI RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS, VICHY.
Next week see's the World championships take place in Vichy, France on the Allier River. Over the next week teams will contest four races in Formulas 1, 2, Ladies and Juniors.

Outside of the main classes a demonstration event in F3 will also take place with skiers from all over the world taking part. Local Hartlepool interest sees Clifford Featherstone take part in the F3 event teaming up with Driver Harvey Robinson and Observer Kim Brooks. Cliff previously competed in World Championships in Darwin in 1991 and Italy in 1989. Cliff has been skiing for very many years now and competed in the first British National series in 1968. A round of the series held Hartlepool saw competitors racing to Sunderland and back. Cliff competed with his father Ron driving and Club President Tommy Richardson observing.
