Back into it

Gym and swim today , only done 10 lengths(250 metres) but 1st time in a pool for a while (apart from holidays)
Going to try and include at least 1 swim session a week and build up my time in the pool again 🙃

Lost 4LB , another 4 to get under the 17 stone mark , 1st time in a long time I've seen a reduction in weight , sendible eating and back into more consistent training 😀

Early morning session today with the wife , cardio and then some mobility exercises with the band , back on myfitnesspal and trying to make some small changes in our diets

After about 6 months off I've rejoined JD at Shiremoor, I've come in just over 17st 7 and a body fat % of about 30 , looking at cardio firstly and then compound exercises of bench press,deadlifts and squats to build strength, short term goal is consistency on training(difficult due to long hours and shifts) , cut down on snacks and sugary drinks and incorporate more fruit and veg into diet.
I would like to aim towards 15stone mark and any reduction in body fat will be great at least sub 25%.
Been a few times already and not feeling the old buzz yet but hopefully this will come in time.
Keep following to see how I do in the following week's and months going into 2024

A little bit of deadlifts tonight using the hex bar , puts you in a better position to lift , working on strength and form

Needed to do something as during the lockdowns I've struggled with training when I could train in tier 4 I enjoyed getting back to the gym but this 3rd lockdown I've worked and thats about it , from being active in the gym 5 times a week doing umpteen classes and sessions too nothing I've put on about 3 stone and in sitting at my heaviest at 18 stone , this is the first step today with a bike ride around the local area , looking at riding a few times a week , and maybe back into some running also , with tweaking our diet I'm hoping to see the lbs start too drop off , little steps but hopefully in the right direction

Cardio session tonight , working across the cardio machines to work on our fitness , been a while since I did stairclimber,rower and cross trainer but feel so much better for it , will be back on the weights next week looking at big movements deadlifts,squats and benchpresses

Back into some form of training at the gym , back on the bag , weights , and spin . Even managed a swim last week , feeling good and tweaking what I'm eating , a few pounds off and feeling a lot better for it , long road ahead but at least its a restart
