Coronavirus – we are still open for business!
I would like to reassure our clients and contacts that it is very much business as usual here at Tretts of Tyneside, and our staff are still hard at work.

We have made changes to ensure that we can continue to provide you with the high quality services you expect from us. Our staff have been briefed and we have put the appropriate measures in place to assist with mitigating any risks and we are, of course, following Government guidelines. Our contingency plans are robust and have been proved to be effective over the last few weeks, and we continue to deliver our services to you.

We’d also value your help in staying up-to-date with the latest coronavirus information by using the NHS or Department of Health and Social Care websites.
Wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitiser whenever soap and water are unavailable.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and then place the tissue into the bin straight away.

Q. Is it safe to travel on a bus? Yes. The Government has made it clear that neither members of the public nor transport staff are at greater risk of infection from coronavirus when using rail or bus services than in other public spaces.
Q. What are you doing to protect your customers and staff? As a responsible employer, Tretts of Tyneside is committed to preventing the spread of the virus. We have robust protocols and resources in place to reduce the spread of illness across our business and services. In line with UK Government advice, we are continuing with the systematic cleaning of our vehicles and facilities.
Q. Are you making hand gel available to your drivers? Where drivers handle cash we are in the process of making hand sanitizer products available to them. We encourage our customers to follow Government advice on hand hygiene and are promoting this across our buses.
Q. Can I use a bus if I am experiencing cold and flu like symptoms? If you are suffering cold or flu-like symptoms, you should call 111. They will advise whether you need to self-isolate. If you are not asked to self-isolate, you should only use transport if absolutely necessary to avoid the spreading of other illnesses. You should follow NHS advice to reduce the risk of catching Coronavirus.

This position is to cover school runs/rail replacement/patient transport and private hire work. minimum one day per week for yard duties cleaning/valeting buses also basic maintenance (checking levels etc)
We are looking for a dedicated team player who can commit to a basic 16 hours but who can also be available out of hours to cover rail replacement/phone work at a moment's notice this will mainly include nights and weekends 16 hour's are guaranteed with extra hours available leading to full time.
