Pulling a funny gym face?

Gym groupers, we’ve got news for you… let’s welcome those gym faces with open arms (or open eyes).

Evidence suggests that those involuntary face pulls are actually designed to improve performance, for example, jaw clenching can increase grip strength by up to 16% (who would’ve guessed it!)

So how does it work, you may ask? When the area of the brain that’s responsible for these facial expressions is firing up, this can prime other areas of the brain which are responsible for your other moving parts, how cool.

Gym Face > Straight Face any day.
