A lot of people think poor body image is exclusive to girls.

It’s not.

There are also unrealistic images of the way a man should look.

I spent a long time going after this image, and even though my body improved, it didn’t change my feelings around it.

I’m a big advocate for training, building strength and being healthy.

But getting the body you want will not change how you feel on the inside.

Masculinity is a good thing

What becoming a dad taught me about being the role model my son needs.

I was sitting with my son after finishing some work, but my brain wouldn’t switch off.

A client had just told me he was leaving, way before his contract was due to end.

I took it personally.
Fear kicked in.
That old “you’re not good enough” voice got loud.

It wasn’t the first time this had happened, but something was different this time.

I looked at my son… and this question hit me:

“What am I role modelling to him right now?”

In that moment I realised I wasn’t being the man or the dad I want him to see.

The fear disappeared. Not because fear is bad, but because I suddenly saw where it was coming from - a place that believed I wasn’t worthy.

And that’s not what I want to pass on to him.

I want him to grow up knowing he is worthy.

But that has to start with me.

Every time I’m with him, and with anyone, I’m role modelling something.

So now I ask myself this question regularly.

And if my behaviour doesn’t match the example I want to set… I change it.

3 Ways men can create more energy.

Work, life and stress are all a recipe for energy drain.

Here are 3 ways to change that.

1. Eliminate distractions

One of the best ways to boost energy is to eliminate or reduce the distractions that drain it such as:

Social media scrolling, junk food, alcohol, p**n, gambling, drugs, endless messaging…

We need to have more tasks in our weeks that give us energy back than take it away.

2. Exercise

One of the easiest ways to give instant energy is to do some exercise daily.

Whether it’s a walk, a workout, some cardio, sport, stretching, it doesn’t matter.

Movement releases endorphins and makes us feel energised.

3. Create a code

There is nothing more powerful than a man who lives by his code - values that dictate his life - and is disciplined towards them daily.

When you are living for something greater than you, there will be no lack of energy.

You’ll wake up feeling ready to go and raring for the day ahead.

Which one do you need to implement first?

What kind of man do you want to be?

rebuilding from the ground up

the rebuild tank

This is it. The last 3 months of the year.

You can dwell on what’s happened all you like.

Maybe you haven’t achieved what you set out to at the start.

Maybe you are going through something right now.

Maybe things feel a bit hopeless.

But all that matters is how we move forward.

How we approach these next 3 months.

My motto is to only look back at the past if I’m doing it to learn lessons for moving forward.

To move forward so that we end the year better than we started, ask yourself this:

What’s the dream?

Then work backwards to figure out the single action step you can take today to take the first step.

reflection is a key part of the journey.

when you pause to reflect
looking back at
the wins
the lessons
and planning for what’s ahead

you grow closer to the man you’re becoming.
one step at a time.

The launch 🚀

It’s here! Support the mission.

Wear the clothes. Be reminded who you’re becoming every time you pull on that hoodie. Remember who you’re being every time you grab that tee.

Men becoming more, standing up, day by day, step by step, fighting to be better, to be more.

More than you ever imagined
More the man you want to be
More present to your people
More focussed and disciplined
More of an example to others
More envisioned than ever before

And raising up others along the way.

Men who feel like they have no discipline in their lives have one thing in common.

They are in dopamine seeking behaviour.

This means they are constantly indulging in bad habits.

Whether it’s scrolling through social media endlessly, procrastinating on everything, eating junk food, using alcohol to wind down, always spending money on things they don’t need…

And while this is exciting and enjoyable in the moment…

It leaves them feeling guilty and maybe even ashamed at times.

Meaning that they need to indulge in the bad habit again to feel better and the cycle continues.

They often tell themselves that they are better than this but can’t seem to change.

This leads to the belief that ultimately they have no discipline and may never change.

They want to be able to take disciplined action, have more confidence in themselves and ultimately have self-resepect.

It’s not that they can’t change, it’s that they went about it the wrong way.

They maybe tried to quit cold turkey or set clear boundaries but ultimately, this doesn’t last long.

What they need to do instead is reset their dopamine pathways to new levels.

This means that they need less stimulus to feel pleasure in life and that means they can live a life of disciplined action…

And step into the man they know they can be.

You can grab The Dopamine Reset System which shows you exactly how to do this for free for the next 48 hours.

Just message me saying “system” and I’ll send the link right over.
