First proper weights session in a while 🙌💪
A couple of injuries knocked me back recently, so training had to be adapted.
Not ideal… but doing something is always better than doing nothing.
Modified training. Kept moving. Kept the routine alive.
Now it’s time to build back up 🔥
Be honest—when life throws a setback at you, do you adapt or quit?
The best part about dieting…

Back to what works.
Since finishing SHREDin12 I’ve ate a little bit of birthday cake, a little bit of chocolate and a little bit of bread.
Very quickly cravings for crap has started.
So back to the basics and what works well for me.
Steak, eggs and grapefruit for dessert.
It’s one of the meals I feel great after, feel energised, feel satisfied and have no cravings.
Eating well is easy when I eat like this.
I have very little willpower so focussing on foods where I felt satisfied after is best for me.
I won’t be perfect all the time but I’m still going to have to eat mainly like this otherwise hunger and cravings will go out of control.
If you control your hunger and cravings your diet is way easier.

Big change doesn’t happen overnight—it happens in stages.
You don’t wake up different, you build it day by day, week by week.
Small changes over time create big transformations.
Be patient with the small wins, and you’ll earn the big results.

31 lbs down in 12 weeks following SHREDin12 💪💪💪💪
For me it never really felt like dieting, never really hungry, energy levels were good and very few cravings.
I enjoy eating this way, feel loads better and will continue.
Just need to stay away from protein bars, yogurt and Diet Coke etc. As soon as I have anything like that my cravings go crazy and makes it so much harder. Yes they may fit into calories and macros etc but for me one protein bar turns into 3 or 4, one Diet Coke turns into 2 or 3 and a few spoonful’s of yogurt turns into the whole tub.
I don’t want to have to use willpower to eat only a little bit of those kinds of foods, best I just avoid them as I feel better, have better energy, feel less hungry and have less cravings when I avoid them anyway.
So no adding those back in like I usually do once I finish a diet.
Discovering mash bowls during SHREDin12 will make avoiding those foods loads easier. No need for a protein bar or two or fruit and yogurt when I can just make a mash bowl which I find is better for my hunger, energy and cravings.
Very happy with the results considering I couldn’t really train properly the last few weeks after injuring ligaments in both my knee and thumb playing football.
I had planned to hammer the weights and cardio the last few weeks but instead it was light weights for high reps only.
Still made good progress in the last few weeks but could have been even better without the injuries.
Even if things don’t go fully to plan you keep going. You keep doing your best. You control what you can control.
There will always be challenges and obstacles when you follow a programme for 12 weeks. You just have to do the best you can to overcome them.
Really enjoyed SHREDin12 and it was a good way to kick start my Fit For Forty goals.
As soon as my thumb and knee allows I’ll be focusing on getting fitter and stronger to achieve as many of my goals as possible come January.

SHREDin12 final result
31 lbs lost in 12 weeks

Up 1.15kg this week but Chat GPT thinks you can see slight progress in my photos last week to this week.
What do you think?
If you can notice an improvement yet I’ve gained weight it shows weight isn’t everything. You can still look slimmer yet be heavier.
Haven’t had the best few weeks.
Had an unplanned Easter egg at Easter.
Kids being off limited my training.
Last Monday I injured my ligaments in both my knee and thumb so haven’t been able to do any leg exercises and only been able to use light weights for upper body.
But still kept going and still making progress.
Time to work hard this last week now the kids are back at school and just going to have to do cardio regardless of my knee and lift heavy regardless of my thumb.

Half a kg down this week to make it 25.5lbs lost in total.
After I had a few brownies and an Easter egg last Monday I’m happy with any loss this week.
Training hasn’t been great either with the kids being off school.
Only two weeks to go, training won’t be the best again with the kids being off so will have to hammer the gym the last week.

You can train 4–5 times a week…
and still not get results.
Because it’s not always about how often you train.
It’s about how you train.
Most people:
• Do the same workouts every week
• Use the same weights
• Repeat the same classes
So nothing changes.
With PERFORMin45:
Every session is tracked
You follow a structured plan
You increase week to week
You move through training blocks
That’s how you actually improve.
Train. Track. Progress.
10 spaces available for a 21 day trial.
Starts Monday 13th April (or 20th if that suits you better).
