Blackhawks cross the Pennines this Saturday for Regional Playoffs for the North Conference. Game one is a quarter final against a high scoring Serpents team. A win would set up a semi final against a divisional rival, with a place in the National Finals at stake

The Blackhawks battled to 2 wins on a windy day in Livingston, to take the Division Title in Prem North A and enter the regional round of the post-season as #2 seed in the North with a record of 11-1.

In their first game of the day, despite scoring first and entering the half with a 7-6 lead, the team needed to battle back to a 14-12 win over #6 seed Raptors. In the final game of the regular season, the Centurions took an early 13-0 lead to put one hand on the division title – the Blackhawks showed great fortitude to respond and take a lead into the half, not letting their opponents reclaim the lead again on their way to a 33-26 victory as they had the last laugh.

The Shadowhawks season drew to a close on Saturday in Sowerby Bridge in typical 2026 fashion, losing two more games in which the D did all it could to give the chance of a win, but the O struggled to convert its chances.

What started out as a season of much promise turned into a season of transition. Bumps in the road always happen in a journey of growth and development and we will be back stronger in 2027.

Barring a minor miracle of everything falling their way, the Shadowhawks 2026 BAFA season will draw to a close this Saturday in Sowerby Bridge with two games against the Stingrays and hosts Calderdale Locomotives.

North of the border, the Prem North A division title and #2 rank in the North are on the line for the Blackhawks, with the Centurions only 0.5 games behind and a head-to-head match between both sides to close out the regular season.

Hosting the penultimate game day of the regular season on a warm & humid Saturday next to Jesmond Dene, the Blackhawks recorded 2 emphatic wins against two short-handed opponents to hold on to top spot in the division. The day began with a 50-13 win over the Chargers and ended with a 46-7 victory over the Mustangs.

The difficult transition season continued for the Shadowhawks, with yet another change under centre from the previous Gameday. Whilst the defence continues to play well, the offence is still trying to find its feet. It all resulted in another disappointing 0-3 gameday. We have two more games left in BAFA 2026 to try and improve our season record and we’ll try our all to do just that!

The Blackhawks enter their final third of the regular season, with their 2026 BAFA trilogies against the Chargers and Mustangs to come to a close. It's a home game day, so if you are able please come down to support us!

The Shadowhawks return to division play by making the short trip down the A19 to Redcar for a Sunday afternoon gameday. Fixtures against the Thunder, Warthogs and Iron Horses await!

The Blackhawks further cemented their #2 rank in the North with 3 wins on the day. Moving to 7-1 on the season they clinched place in the regional finals, but there’s still a lot of work to progress to the National Finals.

The revolving door at QB continues to hamper the Shadowhawks this season. Despite a valiant effort from an offence led by a first time QB (the 3rd under centre in 4 game days), the O couldn’t support a great team defensive display, leading to an 0-3 gameday.
