Greetings from our new training officer ! She has created this guide of hand signals you can use when diving in a variety of languages! Whether you are telling someone you’re okay, or describing which sea creature you have seen, the slides above will help you chat under water!

New committee member!! will be joining us as our new training officer! With a wealth of diving experience and a 1st year Dive master Darcy will be happy to answer any dive related questions or queries you may have!

Route: Start at Spy Bar at 7:30PM (don’t forget your spy cards 😉), crawl through town and ending at SOHO (check members chat for discount code). The rest of the route will be posted day of.

Behind the scenes of NUSAC this year…

From hauling cylinders across the North East, organising the Winter Ball, designing merch, running Movember, recruiting a whole new committee, planning trips to Mallorca and the Red Sea, while somehow keeping all the kit clean, serviced and ready, this is what goes into keeping the club running!

All down to hours of emails, logistics, spreadsheets, Canva, phone calls, lifting heavy things, chasing suppliers, planning around exams, and a lot of teamwork…

Huge thank you to everyone who’s helped behind the scenes this year, committee members, instructors, members, all make it worth doing 💙

If you’re new, curious, or thinking about getting involved, we’re running refresher & welcome events in February where you can meet the committee, ask questions, and get a feel for the club (no experience needed and you don’t have to be a current member!).

NUSAC Movember rewind! This month the whole squad have been putting their efforts into raising money and awareness for men’s mental health month.
Starting off with, “Grow your Mo” the lads tried to grow their best Tasha throughout the month of November with claiming the Mo of the Month 👑
We also reached all of our Milestone targets, resulting in .23_ .ponte braving the shave, with ice bucket challenge and tat pending…
We also had a movember bounce night at jumping giants where a proportion of each ticket went towards movement 👨🏻‍🦱
There was a sunrise sea dip, where the weather decided to snow so there really was snow on the beach ❄️
Finally throughout November organised a movember miles event where we totalled over 200km!

Thankyou for all the donations and support and remember it doesn’t have to be Movember for you to speak up, NUSAC committee is there whenever you need us so please just drop a text if you need!
A problem shared is a problem halved 💙👨🏻‍🦱
