“I wanted to lose a bit of weight and become fitter and stronger after turning 40 last year.”
That’s why Sarah joined our 28 Day Kickstart.
Like many people, she’d been wanting to start lifting weights for a while but didn’t know where to begin. She wanted guidance, structure and a plan she could actually follow.
What happened over the next 28 days surprised her.
Yes, Sarah lost 4.8kg and reduced her body fat by 4.6kg.
But what stood out most wasn’t the numbers.
It was the energy.
Sarah told us she was amazed at how much energy she had after both bootcamp and strength sessions. She felt happier, more positive and started enjoying having a routine again. Training became something she looked forward to rather than something she felt she had to do.
She also found something that often gets overlooked when people start.
A group of supportive, encouraging people all working towards their own goals, helping each other along the way.

The truth is, the best transformations aren’t always measured by the scales.

A few weeks ago, Emma joined our 28 Day Kickstart looking to make a change.
Like many people, she initially wanted to kick-start some weight loss, but what she’s found has been so much more than that.
Emma is a busy parent, works full time and has a schedule that could easily make training difficult. Despite that, she’s committed to her 3 sessions per week, worked them around family and work life, and focused on building consistency rather than chasing perfection.
The result?
Not just physical progress, but a huge shift in mindset, confidence and energy levels.
Yes, improving body composition is important, but the real win is helping people feel stronger, more confident and more in control of their health and routine.
No extreme diets. No endless hours in the gym. No quick fixes.
Just three sessions per week, a supportive environment and a plan that fits around real life.

When people see a transformation photo, it’s easy to assume there must have been some secret, some extreme diet or that everything had to be perfect.
The reality is that Jasmine’s journey has looked a lot like real life. Busy days, good weeks, tougher weeks, but always finding a way to keep moving forward.
Full time job, currently in the process of buying a house and didn’t know where or how to start.
She’ll openly admit that she hasn’t tracked every calorie or logged every meal into an app. There hasn’t been any obsession over numbers, restrictive diets or trying to be “perfect”.
Instead, she’s focused on making better food choices, being more mindful of what she’s eating, turning up and smashing training and doing the simple things consistently.
And that’s exactly why we wanted to share this.
Because so many people believe they need to wait until they can do everything perfectly before they get started.
Jasmine proves that isn’t true.
She has built these results through consistency, not perfection.
The photos show it. You can see the changes in her waist, stomach, back, shoulders and overall shape. She looks stronger, healthier and is way confident. Even her posture has improved.
More importantly, she’s created habits that fit into her life rather than trying to force her life around a diet.
That’s what we’re always aiming for.
Just helping busy people build something they can actually sustain.
The numbers are brilliant, but they’re really just the outcome of a time period of showing up and doing the basics well.
Jasmine’s results so far:
⬇️ 8.7kg body weight lost (87.6kg → 78.9kg)
⬇️ 8.8kg body fat lost (39.6kg → 30.8kg)
⬇️ Body fat percentage reduced from 45.2% to 39.0%
⬇️ Visceral fat level reduced from 18 to 15
⬇️ BMI reduced from 35.1 to 31.6
⬆️ Skeletal muscle mass increased from 26.7kg to 27.1kg
An absolutely brilliant effort from someone who has trusted the process, stayed consistent and proved that sustainable results are possible when you focus on doing the basics well.

What a transformation😲😲👏🏻👏🏻
Steven has absolutely transformed since joining The Hurt Locker and the biggest thing for me is how sustainable and realistic this has been from start to finish.
No mental diets.
No cutting everything out.
No stupidly low calories.
Just proper training, consistency and building habits that fit around real life.
Since starting with us Steven has seen some unreal results:
⬇️ Reduced body weight from 126kg to 89.4
⬇️ Lost 37kg overall
⬇️ Reduced body fat mass from 36.2kg to 12.1kg
⬇️ Dropped body fat percentage from 29.7% to 12.3%
⬇️ Reduced visceral fat level from 16 down to 5
⬆️ Maintained and built skeletal muscle mass from 49.6kg to 49.8kg
For us, this is what proper body composition change looks like.
Steven hasn’t just “lost weight” he’s held onto muscle, improved his health massively and completely changed the way his body looks and performs.
Weight training as well as bootcamp is hard graft but he’s smashed them!
And what makes this even more impressive is Steven is constantly on holiday👀🤣
But in all seriousness hotels, travelling, disrupted routines, meals out, busy work periods all the things that normally throw people off track. But instead of looking for perfection, he focused on consistency and adapting when life got busy.
That’s why this has lasted.
Calories were never set ridiculously low because the goal was always sustainability. We wanted Steven eating enough to train properly, recover well and actually enjoy the process whilst steadily driving progress over time.
The result is nearly 37kg down whilst maintaining an incredible amount of muscle mass and massively improving overall health markers across the board.
Absolutely class effort mate 👏🏻💪🏻

Another solid week welcoming new faces through the doors 💪🏻
Big well done to everyone who got started this week. Walking into a new environment, trying something different and committing to something new is never easy, but you all got stuck in 👏🏻
As soon as they walk through the door they know it’s not about being the fittest or strongest person in the room. It’s about turning up, having a laugh, putting the graft in and improving each session.
Me, David and the team are here to help guide everyone through it all. Whether it’s your first session or you’ve trained before, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable, supported and pushed in the right way.

Helen has absolutely transformed over the past 8 months and the biggest thing for us is how sustainable this has been. No extremes. No cutting everything out. No “quick fix” approach. Just proper training, structure, and consistency over time.
8 months of consistency.
8 months of showing up.
8 months of trusting the process.
Since September 2025 Helen has:
⬇️ Reduced body fat mass from 22.2kg to 14.8kg
⬆️ Increased skeletal muscle mass from 29.4kg to 30.7kg
⬇️ Dropped body fat percentage from 23.4% to 21.2%
⬆️ Improved her InBody score from 88 to 89
But the photos show more than what the numbers do.
You can clearly see the difference in muscle definition, posture, shape and overall confidence.
When you compare these progress photos to Helen before starting to train, you can see the massive change she has made.
She hasn’t just lost body fat she’s built strength, improved her fitness and completely changed the way her body looks and performs. The biggest thing is how much more confident and healthier she looks now compared to before she started.
This is what happens when you stop chasing “fast” results and start focusing on doing the basics really well for a long period of time 💪🏻

As the week comes to an end, I want to give a massive welcome to some of our newest members at The Hurt Locker.
Kelly has just finished her first week of the 28 Day Kick Start and has absolutely smashed it already 👏🏻
Ian’s son is currently on our 7 Day Free Trial (which all members can use to bring along friends or family)

Now this is INCREDIBLE!
Brian. August 2025 → Now.
This is what happens when you stop guessing and commit to change.
Brian came to us like a lot of people do, tried gyms before, lost interest, didn’t see it through.
Fast forward to now:
• 12kg down
• Body fat: 36.0% → 19.5%
• Body fat mass: 30.6kg → 14.2kg (-16.4kg fat lost)
• Muscle mass increase : 30.9 → 33.4 I
• InBody score: 84/100
But more important than any number…
His strength is through the roof
His energy is higher than it’s been in years
And his mindset has completely shifted
You can see it. Not just in the photos but in how he carries himself.
Brian nearly didn’t start.
It took a push from a friend who trains with us to even walk through the door and now it’s one of the best decisions he’s made.
Here’s what he said:
