Superb achievement girls 👏

I honestly don’t know where to start with this group…

Today, our Milan U12 Girls were invited to an Academy Festival in Wigan, lining up alongside academies including Liverpool, Celtic, Tranmere Rovers, Bohemians Dublin, Linfield, Doncaster Rovers and Kilmarnock.

We knew the level. We knew the challenge.

The lasses embraced it. 💪🏼

They topped their group UNBEATEN and WITHOUT CONCEDING A SINGLE GOAL, earning a place in the Top 4 seeded group, seeded ahead of huge names including Celtic and Liverpool. That alone is an unbelievable statement from this group.

The final seeded group put Milan up against some of the strongest girls’ academy sides from Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

With games shortened due to the tournament running over, the girls produced three 0-0 draws. Bohemians Dublin eventually finished overall winners after winning their final game 1-0, with the planned final unable to be played.

So Milan finish 2nd overall.

But just think about this…

The levels and standards these girls continue to set and push are INCREDIBLE. They don’t care about the badge on the opposition shirt. They compete, they work for each other and they believe they belong at this level.

And today, they proved it. 👊🏼

A massive thank you to the organisers and to every club, coach, player and parent we met. To hear so many positive comments about the Milan U12 Girls throughout the day means an unbelievable amount.

Couldn’t be prouder of these lasses. What a group. What a statement. 💪🏼⚽️

A brilliant achievement from our Newcastle City Girls U10 Juve, winning the Future Legends Tournament with a 2-0 victory in the final! 👏⚽️

What a start for this group! Playing against older opposition and going the entire tournament without conceding a single goal is some achievement.

📚⚽ Newcastle City Juniors Coach Development Programme ⚽📚

Tonight saw the launch of our in-house CPD programme, designed to support the continued development of our coaches and, ultimately, provide the very best experience for every player across the club.

Week 1 was delivered by our UEFA A Licence Coach, Nicky Gray, who led an excellent session focused on ball retention, sharing his coaching philosophy, session design and methodology before finishing with a brilliant Q&A with our coaches.

A huge thank you to our U11 players and coaching team for giving up their evening to assist with the practical session. Your support was greatly appreciated. 👏

The next two sessions over the next two weeks are already lined up…
