East Region County Match Days start today at St Ives. Marcella, Tabbi, Jackie & Sarah are representing Cambs & Hunts. Great win this morning for us v Suffolk. We won 3/2. So off to a great start. Very very windy here! Playing Bedfordshire this afternoon teeing off at 2.40.

🏌️‍♀️ Ladies’ Scratch A Team – Great Start to the Season!
Our first match of the season was at home against Ramsey today. Unfortunately, I was unwell and unable to play, but a huge thank you to Carol Wigham, who stepped in at short notice and did a fantastic job.
The team of Sarah G, Jackie Ewing and Carol Wigham secured an excellent 2.5–0.5 victory over Ramsey. Carol earned a crucial half point on the 18th hole, helping the team seal the win.
What a debut for Carol in the A Team - playing off scratch against an 8-handicap opponent and making such an important contribution to the result. A brilliant performance and a magnificent achievement! 👏🏌️‍♀️

🏌️‍♀️ Huge congratulations to Jackie Ewing on finishing 3rd in the Midland Seniors Ladies’ Championship, narrowly missing out on 2nd place on countback.
Played at Luffenham Heath Golf Club, a course that provides a real test of accuracy over heather, gorse and undulating terrain, this was a fantastic achievement against a strong field of players spanning 14 counties and 41 clubs.
Hopefully this outstanding result will earn Jackie a place in the Midland Seniors Team to compete against the North, South and Scotland in August.
👏 A superb performance and a result to be proud of!

🏆 A fantastic weekend for Links Newmarket Ladies at the County Championships!
Jackie Ewing reached the matchplay final after defeating fellow Links member Sarah Greenall in the semi-finals, eventually finishing runner-up to Belinda Borneo of Brampton Park in a closely fought final. Belinda sealed victory with a superb birdie on the 16th to win 3&2.
There was more success for Links players throughout the weekend:

🏅 Jackie Ewing – County Championship Runner-Up
🏅 Marcella Tuttle – Winner of the Scratch Bowl
With great weather and excellent golf all weekend, it was another successful County Championships for Links Ladies! ⛳👏

Jean Wilkinson Trophy – Strong Start for The Links 💨⛳

The first of our Jean Wilkinson matches got underway today as The Links took on Girton, and what a battle it was!

With strong, blustery winds testing every shot, this was golf at its toughest… but our ladies rose brilliantly to the challenge 💪

We’re thrilled to report a fantastic 8–2 victory for The Links, a superb start to the campaign! 🎉

Huge congratulations to Jude, Carol, Lesley, Di and Antonia for a brilliant performance out on the course 👏

And a big thank you to our wonderful caddies Jane, Stella, Joyce, Liz and Sarah G, your support made all the difference 🙌

Hole-in-one magic on the 17th ⛳️

Sarah Reardon delivered an unforgettable moment during the Ladies Merchant Russell KO against Jenny Horsfield yesterday.

Jenny stepped up first and struck a solid tee shot, tracking well but disappearing from view. Sarah followed with a clean 3-wood—straight, strong, and also out of sight.

Walking up to the green, one ball sat just short… Jenny’s.

The other? Nowhere to be seen. Until they checked the hole.
