Dear Parents/Guardians,

⚠️IMPORTANT UPDATE – CAMP 3, DAY 3 ⚽️☀️

Due to the extreme heat and current heatwave, we have made the decision to postpone Day 3 of Camp 3 - tomorrow, Thursday 13th August.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our players is always our number one priority, and with the extreme temperatures hitting 38 degrees on the astroturf surface today we feel this is the safest and most responsible decision for everyone.

As Camp 3 has unfortunately been cut short, we will be adding an additional day to the start of Camp 4 on Monday 24th August as a replacement for the postponed day.

Your Camp Credit

If your child is unable to attend on Monday 24th August, don’t worry! Your day’s credit can instead be used towards one of our upcoming camps:

🎃 Halloween Camp – October Half Term
🎄 Christmas Camp

Please email us [email protected] to let our team know which camp you would prefer to use your credit towards, so we can amend our registers accordingly.

We really appreciate your understanding and support with this decision. Despite the incredibly hot conditions, the players have been absolutely fantastic throughout Camp 3, and their safety must come first.

🥵☀️⚽️ A SWELTERING CAMP 3! ⚽️☀️🥵

WOW… what a couple of days it’s been at Football Footsteps Summer Camp 3🔥🔥

The temperatures have been absolutely relentless 🥵 but once again our players have been SUPERSTARS 🌟

⚽️ Tika Taka football
🔥 Fantastic, effort & energy in all groups
🥅 Goals, saves & skills
🎶 Music pumping
💦 Gallons of water & regular shaded breaks
🧊 100’s of Ice pops went down an absolute treat!
😁 But most importantly…SMILES everywhere!

We’ve had to adapt things throughout the camp because of the extreme heat on the pitches with plenty of water/toilet breaks and opportunities to cool down, but the attitude of every single player has been outstanding 👏

A massive THANK YOU to all our parents for making sure that all 108 children daily have arrived prepared with plenty of drinks, sun cream and caps 🙌☀️

An even bigger WELL DONE to all our players for continuing to bring the enthusiasm and FOOTBALL BUZZ despite the sweltering conditions💚⚽️

Camp 3… you’ve been a HOT one! 🥵🔥

⚠️ - Our last day of camp 3 (Tomorrow) has been rearranged for Monday 24th August a day before camp 4 kicks off due to the astro reaching a whooping 40+ degrees!

‼️IMPORTANT CAMP 3 INFORMATION‼️

☀️⚽️ EXTREME HEAT ⚽️☀️

With very hot temperatures expected this coming week, we wanted to reassure parents/guardians that we’ll be taking extra precautions throughout our Football Footsteps camp to keep all players safe, hydrated and comfortable.

Please help us by ensuring:

☀️ Sun cream is applied BEFORE leaving the house – please also pack some so it can be reapplied if required.

💧 Plenty of water – players should arrive with plenty to drink for the whole day. Frozen bottles are a great option as they’ll stay cooler for longer.

🌳 Regular shaded breaks – we’ll be taking more frequent breaks throughout the day in our shaded area, giving players plenty of opportunities to cool down and rehydrate.

🧢 Caps are allowed – players are encouraged to wear a cap during camp.

⚽️ Sessions will be adapted where necessary due to the temperature, with player welfare always coming first. We’ll still make sure there’s plenty of football, fun and smiles throughout the day!

🍡💦 Ice Pops and a bottled water will be on sale again each day at Lunchtime!

Please make sure your child arrives fully prepared for the conditions.

Camp 2 - Day 3 ➡️ Absolute scenes 🤩

Despite the extreme heat, our players continued to raise their levels every single day. There effort, attitude and smiles on display made this another unforgettable Football Footsteps camp.

To help everyone stay cool, the ice pops and bottled water were definitely in high demand and safe to say they went down a treat😁

A huge shoutout to our selected players who also had the fantastic opportunity to test themselves against MK Dons players.
Last week it was small sided games, this week it was a challenge day👏🏻
MK Dons - Rian Silver again gave up his time to share his football journey and was certainly quizzed in our Q&A session📝

Experiences like these are what football is all about…challenging yourself, learning and creating memories that last forever!

A massive thank you to every player, parent and coach for making Camp 2 such a success. The feedback already received has been truly amazing🙏🏼

Now it’s time for a well-earned week to recharge the batteries… 🪫🔋

We’ll be back refreshed and ready to go for Camp 3, starting 11th August – and we can’t wait to do it all again! ⚽️💙

⚽️🔥CAMP 2 - DAY 2 - El Scorchio🔥⚽️

Jeeez…it was hot one on the turf today🥵 not only with the heat but the goals and energy provided by our coaching team and young players🔥🤩
Extra bottled water and ice pops were definitely needed today which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

Congratulations to EGYPT 🇪🇬 who won our African Nations final🏆
