Dear Community,

We need your help! Our amazing community tennis club will turn 100 next year and part of the build up to that we are renovating our clubhouse making it more modern and attractive to both members and the local community.

Our clubhouse was rebuilt in 1994 and since then the interior decor has remained pretty much the same. We are also looking to ensure we make the lower floor and changing rooms accessible for disabled people.

We had an amazing start to fundraising last night but there is a long way to go!!

How can you help?

Huge congratulations to our very own junior star, Dylan Wallace, who is heading to the prestigious Nottingham Tennis Centre this weekend to represent South Wales at the U12 County Cup National Finals! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿✨

Reaching the National Finals is a massive achievement and the ultimate reward for the countless hours of hard work Dylan has put in on the court. A massive shoutout must also go to his parents - their endless dedication and non-stop driving to training and tournaments all across the country have made this incredible milestone possible. 🚗💨

Everyone at the club is immensely proud of you, Dylan. Go out there and smash it! 💥🎾

After a big finals day on Saturday, these guys weren’t done with tennis just yet. The last thing anyone wanted was a 9am start the following morning 🫠

Safe to say there were a few sore heads making their way onto court from Allt-Yr-Yn at the Champions of Champions event…

Despite the hangovers, lack of sleep and a tactical chunder from Elana first thing… they did the club so proud ❤️

Ladies Doubles Champions of Champions 2026!!!
🏆Carys Salter & Elana Hobbs

After only dropping one game in the first round, they had a little wobble in the semi-final (we’ll blame the hangovers) but managed to battle through and win in a set tiebreak.
Then came the final. Facing a tough pair from Bridgend, it looked like it might be over after losing the first set 0-4. But with a dedicated bunch of AYY fans supporting, the pair managed to keep their cool and claw their way back to take the second set 4-2. Then time for the tiebreak… with plenty of spectators watching (and half of them being from allt-yr-yn) they had the crowd behind them. After some great tennis, long rallies and powerful shots, Elana and Carys took the tiebreak 10-6!! 🔥💥🏆

Very impressive stuff

Jac and Odran played in the Men’s Doubles and comfortably won their first match before bowing out to the eventual winners in the semis. A great effort after a long day (and night) on Saturday 🫡🤝

Then it was time for the mixed. Elana and Odran made it to the semis against another strong Bridgend pair. They were so close, taking the match to a third set tiebreak but narrowly missing out on a chance in the final.
A sterling effort both 👏

Hobbs’ and Carys… massive congratulations 🙌🎾🌟

🏆 Finals Day 2026 🏆

What a day yesterday was. Some outstanding tennis and enough tiebreaks to keep everyone on the edge of their seats! All matches were played in such good spirit, with plenty of banter in the doubles, lots of smiles on court and some seriously close games.

A huge congratulations to all our finalists, and a big thank you to everyone who played, watched and cheered everyone on. And a special mention to those who made the banners in the crowd - we ❤️ you Jack

We also had a new addition this year… the VIP balcony / AYY’s royal box 👀 it was so good we might just keep it there permanently

What made the day even more special was a group of our juniors coming along to watch, sitting together, making quality signs and getting fully behind the players. Although we’re sure it won’t be long before the roles are reversed and we’re all up on the balcony watching them play! Future 1st Team players in the making 🎾

And finally, the most impressive statistic of the day…

There was a Hobbs in every single final. 😂 Fair do’s

Here are your champions:
