A few recent fish from Howle Pool Fishery... all 19lb commons. Seem to be seeing alot of high teen commons lately, definitely original fish that are growing on. They'll bulk up the future stock for sure, this year's netting will be interesting!

And thanks to whoever has stolen a newly planted bush of ours! You're an embarrassment to yourself, we'd rather not have people like you around here!

Maybe I need to be less kind and understanding with people. I can now see why very well managed fisheries are particularly strict, too many idiots out there who ruin it for the good guys!

I had an angler call me over the weekend as he was snagged in the pads, which I do really appreciate. Honestly though, it saddened me how much line I found tethered up. It wasn't long ago that I had cleared that area as much as possible.

A lot needs to be considered when fishing safely and effectively near snags. But most of all, if you are snagged please DON'T pull for a break, it's completely unfair in every way possible!

I think all anglers need to have a set of waders incase they encounter these situations. If you need to call me please do, if I can help I will!

I don't think some really understand the time and energy that goes into manage fish stocks, and not forgetting the cost. Let's just show some respect please.

Lee has had a good run of late, he had a cracking session just before our latest closure. Nothing huge, but plenty of fish to high teens. Good work 👏 🎣

We are back open as normal, and honestly, the lake looks mega for bites at the moment 🐟

Apologies, but we are currently closed again to allow the fish to spawn in peace. Hopefully re-open for the coming weekend.
