On Wednesday night we welcome back our U14s to NHSOB as they start their pre season training. We look forward to introducing you to your new team mates and we also invite you to stay on after training for our first team building social of the season ‘Waffle Wednesday’

As the new season approaches, it was fantastic to welcome the younger girls back earlier on this week to begin our summer/preseason training.

Newport HSOB RFC is searching for an ambitious, passionate and inspiring individual to become the 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢.

This is far more than a coaching role. It’s a unique opportunity to shape the future of women’s rugby within our city and help build one of the strongest female rugby programmes in Wales.

As the 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙍𝙪𝙜𝙗𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩, we’re creating a genuine lifelong pathway for female players—from girls’ rugby through to senior rugby and beyond.

You’ll work alongside our 𝙒𝙍𝙐 𝙆𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝙍𝙪𝙜𝙗𝙮 𝙃𝙪𝙗, talented volunteers and progressive committee to develop players of every ability, inspire the next generation and build a positive, inclusive culture where people come before performance.

Already boasting a 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 38 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧𝙨, you’ll inherit an established group with an excellent platform for continued growth, development and on-field success.

We are incredibly proud to announce that 𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏 𝙃𝙎𝙊𝘽 𝙍𝙁𝘾 has been awarded 𝙒𝙍𝙐 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙢 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 as part of the Welsh Rugby Union's new Investment Model.

𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙢 is the highest level of accreditation that can be achieved by any community rugby club within the WRU.

This is the very first year of the new accreditation model, making this achievement even more special. At the first opportunity available, NHSOB RFC has achieved the highest standard possible, providing independent recognition of the strength, quality and standards that exist throughout our club.

Whilst this award carries significant importance for the future of the club, today's announcement is about 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

Recognition of the countless hours invested behind the scenes by volunteers who give up evenings, weekends and family time to make Newport HSOB RFC what it is.

Recognition of the hard work that went into compiling and evidencing every aspect of the WRU accreditation process.

Recognition that the club has built something truly special.

This Platinum status reflects every corner of Newport HSOB RFC.

From our thriving and unrivalled 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, introducing hundreds of children to rugby each season...

Simply put, you are what makes this club exceptional.

Receiving the WRU's highest accreditation is independent validation that the standards we strive for every day are being recognised at the very highest level of Welsh community rugby.

This achievement also provides an incredible platform as we continue investing in our players, coaches, volunteers, facilities and the long-term future of Newport HSOB RFC.

There is still so much more we want to achieve, but this announcement is a moment to pause and recognise what we have become.

𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒑…

We may seem quiet at the moment but while we arent so busy with training or matches, we are beavering away behind the scenes in preparation for the new season.

We've spent our time fundraising, we held our Presentation Day where we celebrated another fantastic season, we've had bonding sessions where the girls have been getting to know their new team mates, our coaches have attended development courses and our older girls and their parents took part in a breast health workshop with Brazen Bra's. We also made the most of the beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed a huge water fight where even the adults couldn't resist getting involved!
