Girls belong in rugby๐Ÿ™Œ

One year on from the Red Roses lifting the World Cup trophy at Twickenham, England Rugby's Impact โ€˜25 programme is changing the game for women and girls...

๐Ÿ’ธ They have dedicated ยฃ14.55m of funding to growing the women and girlsโ€™ game
๏ธโ˜‘๏ธ Around 40,000 girls aged 6-12 have been introduced to the sport
๐ŸŽ“Womenโ€™s participation at supported universities grew by 38%

Weโ€™re proud to be working with England Rugby as they take steps to make the game more welcoming to women and girls.

This includes co-developing a new anti-sexism and misogyny policy with them, making rugby the first major British sport to launch something of this kind.

It's World Space Week!

Did you know that rugby players have been into space?

Jessica Watkins and Anne McClain from the USA Eagles spent six months on the international space station, and credit rugby for some of their skills.

โ€œRugby has surprisingly helped me a lot as an astronaut,โ€ said McClain

"When your body gets that physically tired you canโ€™t mentally give up, you actually have to think about things more deliberately, with more clarity because youโ€™re more prone to mistakes. And itโ€™s the people that can overcome that physical and keep going with the clarity of mind that win both rugby matches and find themselves successful at training in a space suit.โ€

Our players, their coaches and their families had the most wonderful time last weekend on parade for the Dragons Vs Scarlets game.

Thank you Dragons Community for inviting us to join you. We absolutely loved welcoming the players onto the pitch!

Good luck to The Dragons tonight as they come up against The Ospreys! We are all right behind you.
